Rubin was able to take care of our electrical problems after three other electricians gave up on finding the problem. Rubin is who I will use exclusively in the future
I had a broken plug in the bathroom.Ruben quickly diagnosed the issue and quickly replaced it . 15 minutes and it was fixed! He then helped me mount my ring camera on the side of the house. He is a rare find of honest and competent electrician . He is going to be my go to guy from now on. !

Note: I did not know Ruben Urrutia Jr. prior to hiring him for this project. I have received no compensation or benefit for the great review you're about to read. It's just that Ruben is that good and, as a service professional myself, I well understand how important it is to not only correct someone when s/he makes a mistake but to compliment anyone who does an exemplary job. From my first interaction with Ruben, I knew that he was a consummate professional. Whether in person, via email, or over the phone, Ruben has always been courteous, prompt, very knowledgeable, and his fees were, in my humble opinion, quite reasonable.
Backstory: We recently purchased our home in the Coachella Valley and needed the electrical system to be reviewed and updated (i.e., with dimmers on key lights, understanding which switches worked which lights, etc.).
First, at no charge to us, Ruben came to the house, did a quick review of what work lay before him, and scheduled an appointment with us to return with the necessary tools and equipment and tackle the project.
Then, on the appointed day, Ruben arrived on time, worked quietly and professionally, and found (and corrected) several major errors that had been made by whoever previously installed the electrical outlets and switches. While Ruben was in our home, we were able to go about our normal routine in the house (unpacking many, many boxes, etc.) without any worry; he is easy to work with. (Our dogs also warmed up to him immediately.)
Next, Ruben purchased dimmers for us (he provided us with a receipt of the purchase, for which we reimbursed him--he did NOT markup the cost of the purchase, which sometimes happens with contractors), and installed them on his final visit to the home.
Finally, Ruben's fee was very fair and well worth every penny. Whenever I contemplate addressing a particular task, I ask myself, "What is your time worth? Wouldn't it be better to have a professional handle this issue?" And, in this case, I was right to have Ruben complete this project for us.
We are very satisfied with Ruben's professionalism, his knowledge of electrical systems (17+ years of experience in this field), his willingness to explain to us laypersons how these systems work. From this point forward, Ruben Urrutia Jr. is our "go to" professional for any of our electrical needs. We would recommend him, without hesitation, to anyone who needs electrical work. PLUS, as an added bonus, Ruben knows other good, competent professionals in related fields (plumbing, HVAC, Tile Installation, etc.) and happily provided us with their names and contact information. All any of us has our integrity. Ruben Urrutia Jr. is an exemplary electrician, and a very nice young man. Any of you seeking electrical system upgrades or repairs will not go wrong by contacting him right away.

Wanted to replace all the light switches, outlets, and plates in my house for cosmetic reasons. Hired CVE. Ruben arrived on time, was extremely professional, very pleasant to work with and completed the job in less time than I had anticipated. Did a great job. Pointed out some potential wiring problems and fixed them. Very competent guy and very fair on pricing. He will definitely be my go-to guy for all future electrical work. Would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a professional and trustworthy electrician.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Been in the electrical trade since I was 17 years old. Went to an electrical trade school, where I received my General Journeyman License. Going on 6 years now with my C-10 Electrical Contractors License.
