FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I had a small business many years ago but only did carpentry work. As time went on, I worked with many contractors and learned many aspects of home repairs as well as worked on my own homes. When the economy took a downward turn, I was layed off from the company that I was with for 10yrs. That was when I decided to start my business again, this time concentrating on "small projects" in the many fields that I've learned through out those years. I decided to put to use all those years of "education" of working with others.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
We specialize in "small projects" which ranges from trim work, fence repair, drywall repair, door repairs such as interior, exterior and patio sliders. We specialize in carpentry work but being in the construction industry for over 25 years, we have had an opportunity to learn many fields. The one thing we do not do is roof repairs. Our Liability insurance does not permit us to do this type of work.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The greatest advice I can give is this: Make sure the company or person has referals from others. A contractors license only means the state has made sure they know the minimum trade knowledge and legalities; they dont make sure they do quality work. Whatever you do, make sure others recommend them and ask for a list and then call them.
