Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I do it right the first time no warranty work required .I make sure to communicate with the customer so that there is no misunderstanding about what they want so i can then find the most cost effective way to accomplish the job in the minimal amount of time. Helping a customer fix a ongoing or maybe intermittent problem, say a breaker tripping only some of the time, or lights in part of the house not working with no tripped breakers.Just troubleshooting these types of situations and finding the solution make my job rewarding.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Tme and material.Either you buy the materials required to do the job.Or i will with a competitive price quote before work begins.Once the materials are on site I charge 40.00 an hour for installation.

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

A Gentleman purchased this real nice house with a deck in the back pool and spa.Well he hadn't been able to use the spa because it wasn't working and he told me he previously hired not one but two individuals to try to get it running but were unable to rectify the problem. When I showed up to look at the hot tub he told me of his problem and how the two previously failures had provided any solutions. He then told me that if i could fix the problem and get it running he would pay me 300.00 dollars.I told to let me look at it. The first thing i noticed was that on the door covering the pump and other equipment there was a magnetic pick up safety switch and the magnet to close the circuit and allow the unit to operate was missing off the opposite door. After rectifying that issue the blower would com on but not the pump.Well spas are funny creatures as the control switches don't use electricity to make things operate as there is a shock hazard there instead they use air usually.A little bellows push button forces some air down a small diameter tube to the pump motor which has a vacuum operated solonoid switch for on and off .Needless to say the plastic bellows had a tear in it and wasn't pushing any air. To make a long story short I had the unit on and working ten minutes after arriving there ,showed the customer what the issues were and where he could buy the original parts to permanently fix the problem and when he tried to pay me the 300.00 I kept 40.00 and gave the rest back. That is how u win a customer for life!!!

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

The amount of time required to be exposed to the virtually endless amount of things that can happen to a previously functional branch circuit
