From the initial phone call and in-person consult, John had a very calm, nonjudgmental demeanor. I talked to a few other attorneys prior to deciding to work with John. Bankruptcy is a difficult, embarrassing, and sometimes confusing process. As a single practitioner and small business owner, John gives his clients the personalized attention that I think is needed for bankruptcy. He was readily available via phone, email, and even in-person meetings to explain the process and set expectations, answer any questions, and alleviate our concerns. He even helped with slightly unrelated financial/legal issues (tenant/landlord issues, rental security deposit questions, etc.) Other larger bankruptcy firms seemed to not care so much about the individuals they were serving and often advertised the bigger, well-known attorneys to reel clients in but actually had less experienced attorneys or even paralegals/interns do the majority of work on their cases. Some firms don't even have an attorney attend the bankruptcy hearing with you, which I would imagine to be nerve-wracking for the client. You want to make sure the paperwork is completed and filed correctly, you are well-prepared for your hearing, and that the process runs seamlessly, so you can have a quicker path to a fresh financial start. I would not have felt as confident about the outcome if I were to go through this process alone or have a junior level attorney or intern work on my case. John was great to work with, and I would highly recommend him to anyone considering making such a tough decision. It is a very impactful decision, so while there are bankruptcy attorneys available for a fraction of the cost, I think it is worth the larger investment to have a caring, accessible, and experienced attorney like John on your side to ensure a higher chance of having a positive outcome and seamless process to restarting your financial future. We began the process in December, attended our hearing in January, and received notification of our discharge in March. We are already working to rebuild our credit, which John also provided advice on how to best go about the post-bankruptcy rebuild. Thank you, John!

All around great experience. Expensive lawyers will do everything for you and charge you crazy numbers. If you’re prepared to do the work, this is an excellent option instead of a divorce attorney. Lisa’s many years of experience will guide you through the pitfalls of processing your divorce. I ask a lot of questions and can be a demanding client. When Lisa didn’t have an answer, which was rare, she got the information to me expeditiously. I interviewed several people before choosing Lisa. Look no further for your divorce processing needs.

I was researching lawyers for my boyfriend and came across Andrew. I called him and we talked briefly about the situation. My boyfriend and I then met with Andrew went over things and hired him immediately after that. My first impression of Andrew was not like other lawyers we had contacted, he is down to earth cares about the situation and the person he is representing. We hired Andrew late in the legal process and he has had a short time getting to know my boyfriend and looking over his case, but he has worked hard and is doing everything he can to help us. Andrew also gave us a great rate knowing our financial situation. I highly recommend Andrew Flores to anyone needed legal help. He has treated us as friends and helped us with everything in the legal process. Andrew is a very helpful and great lawyer. Thank you Andrew!

I recently had the pleasure of using Michael Berg to represent me on my DUI case. Not at all familiar with the criminal justice system, you can imagine how scared I was in having to go to court for the first time in my life. Michael explained everything to me in a professional and easy to understand manner. Not only that, he did not try to gouge me on attorney fees like some lawyers I called. The case was favorably resolved and my career was saved! Do not hesitate to call him if you need quality representation at a very fair price.

So far so good. My case is really just getting started. However, John has been professional, prompt, thorough and knowledgeable on all topics and is considerate of utilizing both of our time in the most effective manners. I am glad I selected him out of the many, many attorneys I met with.

One word quickly comes to mind when I think of Mr. Fuhrman….integrity. He is an honest, hard-working, knowledgable and well-respected man. Going through a divorce is a very painful process and by having the support of him and his staff, I never lost hope. Unlike most attorneys, Bill is quick to return e-mails and phone calls. As busy as this man is, I never felt unimportant. My divorce was ugly and messy but with Bill's direction it was completed in an efficient and timely manner. I have referred more than half a dozen people to Bill in just a two year span and he has never not lived up to or exceeded their expectations. What I came away believing after working with Bill and his associate attorney, Michele Vallat (who is beyond incredible) is justice does prevail.

I got in a pretty bad car accident in July of 2015. I was rear ended so bad that my car was labeled as a total loss. I looked around for a good attorney for a few weeks. After reading reviews, and talking to friends, the name Chris Mova with Mova Law Group came up the most. So, I decided to call him to see if I wanted to hire him. Chris personally talked to me on the phone, explained what my options were and asked me if I wished to meet him face-to-face at his office. I met him at his office a few days later and I decided to hire him. He was a wonderful communicator, sincere, and genuinely interested my recovery and well-being. Whenever I called him, he was either immediately available, or he called me back within a few hours. He and his staff took care of everything promptly and professionally. I waited for him to tell me what to do, and when to do it. He usually called me every few weeks to give me an update on my file and to find out how I was doing, which I really appreciated because the last lawyer I hired went MIA after I hired him. Chris fought hard with the insurance company, they weren't being reasonable in the beginning. It wasn't until he showed them a copy of the lawsuit he planned on filing that they finally decided to pay for my injury. He is as aggressive of a lawyer as I have seen (based on his letters to the insurance company), but yet so friendly and nice with me. This is completely irrelevant, but I found out that Chris is HUGE animal lover. He rescued two dogs and fosters dogs that are abused or about to get euthanized by the kill shelter. I think this speaks volumes to his character. If you decide to hire Mova Law Group because you got injured, consider yourself fortunate to have Chris Mova in your corner. A real upstanding guy.

I had a very arduous case and there was so many times when I was frustrated but I always had The Murray Law Firm there to talk to me and explain every step of my case to me in a way that made sense. On top of that when it came to handling the case they fought for me to get everything I deserved and more. I have dealt with a few lawyers and this is the first time that I can sincerely say that I trusted my lawyer 100% in that he had my best intentions. For that very reason I will always go right back to this law firm if I ever need any representation in the future. I seriously can not say enough great things about Mr. Murray and how thoroughly and exceptional his work is. Thank you still for all of your help!

I was recently burned at a day spa badly on my neck which made my skin peel off about 3 inches long and 2 inches wide. I left that day without getting my facial and was in pain for a couple of weeks. I called the spa to speak to a manager because no one reached out to me regarding the incident. The Manager at the spa offered me their cheapest facial or massage for free which really made me upset. I started looking online to see what type of legal action I could take and spoke to about 5 different lawyers. That's when I met Jared Drucker, he made me feel comfortable and was very knowledgeable of how this would all play out. Every time I called or emailed him, he was always quick to respond. There was a point when I know I was delaying the process, but he never gave up on me. He ended up settling with the day spa and I'm very grateful for all he has done for me. He truly went above and beyond for me. I recommend using Jared 100%. He will take care of you and make sure you always know what to expect from beginning to end. Thanks again Jared.

I hired Anna to represent me for a felony and misdemeanor arrest after I had consulted with two other attorneys. Anna appeared to be very competent and knowledgeable with how the District Attorney's (DA) office and the City Attorney's (CA) office would pursue the case based off of her past experience working as the deputy district attorney. Her experience as a former prosecutor put a great deal of confidence in me that she would be the most competent attorney that I could hire for my particular case. Since I had a prior felony conviction, I could not run the risk of a second felony conviction based off of false accusations. Although our judicial system is supposed to operate under the premise "innocent until proven guilty," I know better than to take a passive approach to prove out my innocence. My approach was to hire what I considered to be the most aggressive, experienced, and competent attorney. Anna's initial meeting with me was on the Labor Day Holiday which exhibited to me her dedication to providing me with the best legal counsel available for my case. My case endured a long wait since my arrest occurred at the end of August but no charges were filed for over four months. The only thing that helped me endure the wait was weekly communication with Anna on the status of my case as she would always respond back to my emails or calls within the same day. She kept in constant contact with the City Attorney's (CA) office and the District Attorney's (DA) office on the status of the police report. Her aggressive approach and communication with the two offices (DA & CA) finally led to the CA making a decision that no charges would be filed! I received this news from Anna on New Years eve day so I could not have experienced a happier new year. Once again, I believe that Anna's past experience as a prosecutor for the city played a role in the most favorable outcome a client can receive after being arrested for felony and misdemeanor charges. Since I initially felt that the charges were bogus and that my innocence would eventually clear me from the charges, I am glad that my better judgment kicked in and I hired an aggressive, experienced, and competent attorney in Anna Yum.

I was nervous about getting a lawyer at first but after speaking Mr. Cohen I had a better idea of how the process works and what I needed to do. I hired him and he made sure to keep me informed about what he was doing for me. I feel lucky to have found him. He was also the first one to respond with a quote.

What does an immigration attorney do?

Immigration lawyers help their clients through all phases of the immigration process. Experts on immigration law, they are legally qualified to represent U.S. citizens, permanent residents or undocumented immigrants. Immigration lawyers also provide assistance to visitors here on student, work or travel visas, and can represent clients who may have an expired visa or who have overstayed their visa.

You can hire an immigration lawyer to assist you with petitioning for renewing a permanent resident or green card, navigating the naturalization process, submitting an employee-based petition for a work visa, filing a petition for a family member, or representing you or a loved one who is facing detention or deportation, as well as replacing, extending or changing a current visa, green card or work permit. The immigration process is highly complex, with multiple hearings, paperwork and requirements. Hiring a legal expert to represent you can help you make your best effort in the process. When researching immigration lawyers, it is very important to verify their qualifications and find a reputable attorney. Read reviews and verify that the immigration lawyer is licensed by your state before paying any fees.

How do you find a good real estate lawyer?

If buying or selling property feels overwhelming and the thought of finding a good real estate lawyer seems daunting, you’re in luck. There are some simple steps to follow for finding a trustworthy, affordable real estate lawyer to help with your property and legal needs.

  • Determine what kind of real estate lawyer you need. Many states require a real estate attorney to handle sale closing documents. For more complex matters such as a real estate deal gone awry or foreclosure, you’ll want to find an attorney who has successfully handled cases like yours.
  • Look for online reviews of real estate lawyers in your area. Verify that they have proven experience closing or winning cases like yours and that they are in good standing with the state bar association.
  • Choose two or three lawyers to interview. Many offer a free consultation to learn about your case and provide information about rates. For standard real estate closing services, in-depth interviewing might not be necessary.
  • Ask about their rates and whether they charge by the hour or provide services for a flat fee. Ask whether a retainer is required, and what the total bill should be for a case like yours.
  • Ask for a write-up of the services that will be covered by the projected costs.
  • Make sure you like the real estate agent and they treat you with respect. Confirm whether they or another person will be working on your case and make sure you’re comfortable with all members of their team.
  • Pay the retainer and hire your lawyer.

What is a personal injury lawyer?

A personal injury lawyer fights on your behalf if you’ve been injured physically, psychologically, economically or in reputation. This injury may be the result of neglect or malicious intent of another person, or it could be at the hands of a business, government or other entity. Personal injury lawyers specialize in tort law, which is the law of civil wrongs like car accidents, company wrongdoing, unlawful imprisonment and more.

To become qualified to be a personal injury lawyer in the United States, a person must earn a bachelor’s degree, followed by a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from a law school. Most states then require the person to pass the bar exam to become licensed to practice law. Unlike many attorneys who require a retainer, personal injury lawyers often work on contingency fees. This means that in lieu of payment upfront, they receive an agreed-upon percentage of the settlement in case of a win.

What does a real estate lawyer do?

A real estate lawyer represents their client’s best interest in all matters related to the sale, purchase and ownership of real estate. They are experts in real estate law. In states that require a real estate lawyer to close home sales, the lawyer must review and finalize all documents before the deal can be legally completed. Real estate lawyers also help clients legally protect their rights when entering, exiting or renegotiating a real estate deal. You can hire a real estate lawyer as an individual or as a business. A real estate lawyer can help with negotiation, addressing mortgage fraud, managing foreclosures and bankruptcy, transfers of titles and deeds, property ownership disputes, zoning issues, creating a co-ownership contract for joint purchase of a property, and much more. Real estate lawyers can also protect you from issues that result when a known problem was not properly disclosed by the previous owner. Overall, real estate lawyers are an added cost when it comes to buying and selling property, but they also ensure your best interests are met, and that you and the people you are doing business with comply with the law.

What kind of lawyer does wills?

No one likes talking about death, but it’s better than leaving your children or siblings to sort out your estate. A clearly planned will can make the time of mourning easier for everyone. An estate attorney will develop a legal will, create trusts on your behalf, and ensure the proper execution of your estate after you pass away.

Family attorneys and estate attorneys, also called probate and wills attorneys, can each prepare wills. The type of lawyer best suited to prepare your will depends on your situation. Most family attorneys provide services to prepare basic wills, including bequeathing property and personal items to family or naming a guardian for minor children. However, estate attorneys specialize in preparing wills in more complex situations. Consider hiring an estate attorney if you:

  • Have a large number of assets, especially those subject to estate taxes
  • Want to create a trust, such as allowing a spouse to live in your home until he or she dies and then leaving it to your children, or set up long-term care for a beneficiary
  • Have an ownership stake in a business
  • Expect someone to contest your will
  • Want to disinherit your spouse
Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
