Nader has taught cello to my 10 year-old son, Caleb for the last 2 years. During in this time, Caleb has made amazing progress. Nader challenges Caleb in a way that builds excitement for music and confidence to excel at his instrument. I can imagine that music lessons and practice can become a chore, but Nader's patience, positive attitude, enthusiasm, and method of teaching keeps Caleb engaged and excited to play the cello. Caleb has truly benefited from the way that Nader engages him each and every time they meet. Nader is a very good listener so that Caleb always feels heard. His questions and concerns are addressed. I give Nader my highest recommendation not only because Caleb has made such good progress, but also because Nader has made the cello very rewarding and enjoyable for Caleb.

Bryson is very patient and great at explaining every step of the learning process. He's very knowledgeable in music theory and his teaching style is very flexible. What I mostly like about my lessons so far is that I'm very comfortable, especially since I was a brand new student and was shy at first. I feel like I'm advancing a lot!

Before taking piano lessons with Rebecca, my only experience with musical instruction was through elementary and junior high. Rebecca's training and personal dedication to music makes her an extraordinary teacher. We use the Suzuki books, which I love because that's what I used for violin and flute. She supplements those favorites with really nice adult-learning-centered books on theory. As an adult learner, this was helpful, because I could read through these brief books, but then had the terminology to look up my questions online or know what to ask in lessons. The lessons are so fun and well organized. We work on the songs in the books (which included CDs of the songs so you can hear what the song might sound like if you practice enough) and she would help me with songs I brought in too. Rebecca is so kind, and is great with my five-year-old too. Really, Rebecca is an excellent music instructor. Her academic background, many years of actually playing piano and singing, knowledge of the music available and books, and variety of students -- all make her a versatile teacher, capable of helping anyone learn to the play the piano in whatever style they are interested in. Plus, she is an incredible person. I look forward to piano lessons with her.

Tony is an outstanding musician and a teacher! He is very inspiring as he is playing piano absolutely stunning and his way of teaching is fabulous. You will be very lucky to get space with him! Very Highly recommended. I am a pianist but I wanted to develop my skills in jazz music, and what I've learned from Tony, was very very impressive! He was the best teacher I found in New York and I'll be coming back to him again and again when I'll be there. Thank you so much Tony!

I just started working with Michael and I already feel more confident and have more fun playing the guitar than I had in almost a year. His immense love and knowledge of music is astounding and he translates that into lessons that make me excited to learn more. He is very approachable, highly responsive and extremely flexible. I cannot recommend Michael enough to begin or continue your musical education!

Nicole is a great teacher! I have little background in music, especially piano, and I was unable to read music. However, Nicole has been able to teach me through patient progression and my form playing has improved greatly since our first lesson! My favorite thing about lessons with Nicole is that although she works to give you a solid foundation in the fundamentals, she asks what songs you would like to learn and works with you to learn them as well.

I am one of Ed's "older" students. I came to him at a very later part of my life with absolutely no musical background. None!! I told him that I someday wanted to become a member of a church choir. He accepted this challenge. He was very kind, and patiently worked with building my confidence in singing during my first year with him. I've been with him for a couple years now, and I am extremely satisfied to have Ed as my singing instructor. His excellent ear/skills for music is what he uses to capture your style and applies it to that particular person. He is very diverse with his music; being able to teach all genres, i.e. R&B, Pop, Country, Church Choir. What ever you like, he can teach you! The singing I use to dream about, Ed is teaching me to bring it alive. I'm using my head voice, my chest voice, and finally some vibrato is coming my way!! When God said, "start singing," He also gave me the perfect instructor. I would highly recommend Ed Barrena for people of "all" ages -beginners and advanced. Pattie G.
