- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing on wedding/engagement photography has a standard rate based on 3 unique specific packages. Based on the client's needs, the package can be modified and discounts can be applied when combining certain packages. For example, getting a discount on a wedding package when adding an engagement shoot is a great bonus! In all other types of photography projects I charge hourly as well as for the amount of edited images needed for the project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First off I like to get to know the client and the vision that they have for their photoshoot. If they are unsure I will ignite the artist within them and collaborate with them to help create a vision for their project. I usually like to ask a range of questions to make sure I am the right fit for the client, and ensure I can meet all the desired expectations they might have. If everything checks out, I would arrange a face-to-face consultation at a local coffee shop and iron out all the details in regards of timing, pricing, and address any other concerns or questions. I am also available to answer all of these questions over phone or by email if this is more convenient.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I learned portrait photography like almost everyone else, by trial and error. I have about 8 years of experience in shooting a variety of styles ranging from fashion, family, engagement, wedding, to models and local musical artists. I have learned a lot from my experiences and I enjoy taking up new challenges and projects.
