We are currently working with michala. We hired her to decorate 4 children's bedrooms. She is extremely reliable, very pleasant to work with and most importantly really listened to whats was important to us and provided us with designs that really reflect our style. Would definitely recommend!!!

When we tell people that we renovated our entire kitchen remotely while we were out of the country, they express surprise and sometimes incredulity. When they see the results (pictured http://mmonroedesign.com/projects/mid-century-kitchen/), they are impressed. We are quick to credit Michala for the success of the project, although we needed to see the place in person to be sure it functioned as beautifully as it looked online. Now that we have been home for several days, we are over the moon with the kitchen that Michala designed for us. Thanks to Michala’s vision, attention to detail and project management, we have our dream kitchen. We found Michala on Thumbtack, and after meeting her twice in person, we sensed she had the experience and personal qualities needed to guide us through the design and renovation process even though we would be communicating online in different time zones. Still, the decision to go ahead felt like a risk. As it turned out, Michala made the process easy and fun. She truly has a unique combination of talents: the ability to listen, to filter and synthesize options and preferences, to gently but firmly make recommendations that keep a project on schedule and budget, to solve unexpected problems and to create a thing of beauty. She’s a star and we cannot recommend her highly enough.

Michala Monroe is a true InteriorDesigner in every sense of the word. We wanted a designer who could understand our dreams, our visions, likes/dislikes but still able to challenge us with new ideas, new visions.
We also did not want the headaches of dealing with all the hiring of workers, etc. Michala dealt with ALL the contractors, vendors, workers, EVERYONE that that had to do with our renovation, Michala was on top of it!!
Once we realize that Michala was on point with our vision we sat back and watched ou dreams take form! All interior decorations were brought to us for our approval, when choices had to be made we received Michala’s priceless input.
Michala is not the most inexpensive interiordesigner out there but I learned early in life, you do truly get what you pay for!
What we paid for was for our dream to come true and they did! We are now living in a dream which has come true for our next phase of life, thanks to Michala Monroe!!
