I hired Hugo a few months back to do my wedding photos. When I originally put out my post I was slammed with emails from photographers stating they were the best in the industry, the responses were typically pushy for me to hire as the begun discussing financials.
Hugo was the first and only photographer who submit a personal response to my ad, it was obvious that he read my post and made notes of things that were specific to my wedding. He showed interest in my wedding theme and location.
This is what initially peaked my interest in hiring Hugo, he was very personable and easy to connect with. I returned my email to Hugo I advised him that I lived in Nevada however I’d be getting married in California. Hugo offered information and assistance even though I hadn’t yet hired him.
Hugo was very professional and worked with me on my wedding timeline. He provided suggestions yet also allowed me to set the flow of my wedding day. When it came down to paperwork, Hugo was diligent and let me know exactly what to expect. He had a written contract outlining expectations for both him and for us.
Weeks leading up to the wedding Hugo would touch base with me, he showed enthusiasm for the wedding and also stated there were some props that he’d like to incorporate to get amazing photos. Although I had never met Hugo until the day of my wedding, I felt very secure in his role in my wedding.
The morning of, his second photographer met with my bridal party and he met with my husband and his groomsmen. Hugo was very flexible with my husband and his obnoxious friends. Hugo went with the flow of the evening and kept the wedding party hyped up.
Hugo was creative and also attentive, there were several moments where he reminded me to focus on the day and breathe when he could see I was visibly nervous.
Hugo played a huge role in our wedding and we couldn’t be any happier with the choice to hire him.

We found Hugo on Thumbtack and hired him for our wedding and engagement session. We absolutely loved him! He was so personable and easy to get along with. We had a blast at our engagement session working with him. He knew all the great shots to take :) He was also very prompt with sending the pictures out. We definitely recommend him to people looking for a great photographer!

Hugo did an incredible job with our engagementphotos. As it was my fiance and my first time taking professional pictures, Hugo was patient with us and guided us to getting the best shots. He was also attentive to our requests and made sure we got what we wanted.
Finally, Hugo navigated the downtown Los Angeles region with ease and got all of our pictures with two outfit changes done in a short window of time. I would highly recommend Hugo for engagement or wedding events!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process of working with a new client is usually emailing them a questionnaire that asks specific questions regarding their wedding or event, this way I know which package to suggest. After this initial questionnaire, I like to set up a meeting to get to know the couple/client and to go over any additional details. Once we decide to move forward, I send them my contract so they can go over it. Once everything is finalized, I stay in contact with them helping them with all the details until the day of the event.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 3 years of photography experience, and I absolutely love what I do. Being able to pursue my passion and meet incredible people along the way has been a dream.
