FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I know that hiring a photographer can seem a bit pricy. One thing to remember is that you're not just paying for photography on the day of the event, you're paying for the time I'll be taking to prepare for your event, shoot, or wedding. You'll also be paying for the time it will take for me to organize and edit your photos and get them to you. I try to keep my prices fair compared to other photographers in the area. I am always willing to work with you to make sure the payment goes as smoothly and painlessly as possible.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My normal process for working with you as a new clients is fairly simple. I start by setting up a time to either meet in person or speak over the phone. I like to have that personal connection because it helps me get to know you better and not just see you as a client, but rather as friend. Once we speak I would give you a physical list of what I offer or also email it to you. I know that choosing a photographer can be a big decision and so I try to make sure to let you know that you should take your time. I never want you as a client to feel pressured into make such a big decision too quickly. If you decide to have me as your photographer we would then talk about the process of payment for my services. Once we decide a plan for payment that works for the both us I would send over a contract. I know contracts can be a little scary, but I think it's necessary in order to protect the two of us. Once the contract is signed, everything is set. We will speak a few more times before the date of the event just to make sure everything is set and getting all the details in line.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I don't have any formal education, but as of today (June 2018) I have been a photographer for 12 years. I believe a photographers portfolio speaks for itself.
