Don is the man and I give him my highest recommendation. He is easy to work with, knowledgeable, reasonable in his pricing, a real nice guy and goes above and beyond to do the job right. So far he’s hung a ceiling fan and installed low voltage landscape lighting for me. Both were done very well and within budget. I will be using his services for other projects and recommending him to friends. My only reservation in recommending him is that I’m worried he’ll be too busy when I need him! I’ve worked with a number of electricians and other contractors and Don is someone I have no doubt you will be happy you hired.

5 out of 5 stars because JOSE is incredibly knowledgeable, crafted, creative and SKILLED! After years of needing to update our aging electrical main panel and home re-wiring, we finally got it done. Finding and selecting an electrician without having any background in electrical matters, I worried about finding a professional who was knowledgeable in the field, familiar with city requirements, fair pricing, honest and delivered quality work. Researching and searching area electricians and contractors - I came across JOSE from ONE GOOD ELECTRICIAN ! From the first telephone inquiry to the final walk thru and switching on our new lights, we were completely SATISFIED and overwhelmed with gratitude. JOSE - is one heck of ONE GOOD ELECTRICIAN! He is the constant professional, extremely knowledgeable with electrical needs and requirements, practical recommendations, but also aesthetically/design wise on what 'looked' best. As someone who had little knowledge about the various ways I could layout the electrical outlets around the house, JOSE offered creative suggestions about what would work and would not work based on our family's lifestyle and living habits. JOSE, truly knows his craft with practical and creative ideas. His work ethic was admirable as he was up and under the house simply 'getting the job done' within the promised time and with quality every step of the way. It was great to find a professional who takes pride with the details of his work, dedication, trustworthy and at the end of the day making sure all that was promised was delivered. With all sincerity, One Good Electrician deserves a 5-star rating, plus some! A complete electrical panel was installed, rewiring done, recessed and under shelf lights added which truly made my house a HOME! As a woman, I felt comfortable having him and his loyal assistant in my house, for those that have that concern. Thank you JOSE for your diligence, creativity, affordability and great professional care and courtesy! Looking forward on working with you again!

Steve proved himself to be an excellent choice for me to have some home improvement work taken care. Within 10 minutes of placing my request on Thumb Tac, I had received a response from Steve with an estimate of how much it would cost to do the work site unseen. Within an hour he was onsite looking over the project; we were able to quickly negotiate a fair price to have the work done with Steve including the demolition and haul-away of a weathered wooden shed and the spa pump, heater, and other items stored within it. My primary request was to have a somewhat large, very weathered wood deck demoed and hauled away to a landfill/dump. Steve turned out to be an easy-going, personable, and exceptionally hard worker very knowledgeable in many areas of home improvement, construction and demolition. He carefully and expertly executed the demolition and haul away of the entire wood deck. – A lot of work. Steve worked his a$$ off to demo the deck and haul it away in an efficient, timely, and proper manner. As a result, I asked Steve to also provide a power wash to my house paying special attention to my very weathered front walkway pavers. Throughout the project Steve followed through on every promise and worked especially hard to bring out the best with the power washing of the pavers providing an exceptionally noticeable improvement after removing a lot of baked in dirt, grime, and fungus. There were a couple of times when Steve could not make it back to continue the work at the agreed upon time due to unexpected ‘life’ events, which I understand happens to all of us. However, even given a couple of unexpected hold-ups, he made it to the site every day, kept me in the loop with what was going on, and gave me a discount to compensate for the inconvenience and hold-up in getting to the site due to these interruptions. He went so far as to show up on a Sunday to coat and seal the newly power washed front walkway pavers. All-in-all, it was a great experience working with Steve. He was reliable, a hard worker, very proficient and knowledgeable, and very competitively priced. I look forward to having him back for other home improvements in the near future. Thanks for a great job, Steve! -Bob

Installed 2 motion sensor security lights where none previously existed and did an excellent job. He did a thorough review of the work to be done in advance and gave us a quote at a much better price than I received from other electricians. We definitely plan to use Mathews' Electric again for other projects we want to accomplish. Thank you!!

Andy came out to give me a quote on installing a new EVSE (an electric car "charger") for me. I needed a new 40A, 240V circuit added to the house's main panel, as well as the EVSE itself mounted on the wall. His quote came in quite competitive to prices I received from non-licensed electricians and almost half the price of electricians I called or emailed from Angie's List. His assistant/main electrician Juan actually did all the work. Andy's sole contribution was running to Home Depot to pick up the correct (antiquated) circuit breaker for my house's 30-year-old GE panel and briefly discussing with Juan the scope of the work. Juan was excellent! A very friendly, knowledgeable guy. He was done with the entire project in about an hour and fifteen minutes, then we chatted for at least another half hour about various electrical things. I learned more about electrical stuff from watching him work and picking his brain on stuff like GFCI outlets and whole-house 100A->200A upgrades than I'd learned in years of home ownership. Though it was a very straight-forward project, I was really impressed by Juan's professionalism and how much he cared to do his best, instead of taking shortcuts. Would definitely recommend Andy and Juan for anyone on the fence about hiring them.

My kitchen wall outlets didn't work at my rental house, flipping the breakers didn't remedy. When I gave him the job, he was there the next day on time, got to work fast, was helpful. Did everything he could to investigate. He even rewired the ballast near the refrigerator. Greg told me he charges $100 for first hour, $75 every hour after. I was gonna use highly rated 5 star Premo but they wanted $150 upfront, non-refundable, before they even come to my house. Then cost $150/hour. Then Premo said they couldn't come for another 1.5 weeks. Greg just billed me $100 for his 1 hour, afterward.

They were allright. Arrived on time, did the work. Price seemed fair. One thing we had asked for which was for the fan to be manually operated by switch was not done. The switch now stays on with the thermostat regulating the fan. This seems fine. A lot better than other experiences we have had with other local electricians, half of whom never even show up.

I had an electrical emergency at 7:00 pm and within an hour they sent out a technician! All the overhead lighting went out on one side of the entire house leaving only some outlets working. Since there is new and old electrical wiring in our beach house it took someone with knowledge and experience to pinpoint the problem. I've already had them come a second time to rewire a switch plate that was installed incorrectly. I highly recommend Green Electric. Truly 5 star service!

I cannot rave enough about the service I received today from Aaron Massella. He was prompt to communicate and willing to come to my home immediately. Here is what happened... The Problem: I had a random loss of power in one bedroom and the bathroom next it and the switch on my breaker box for that room was sluggish. I called up a couple different electricians, and I had my assistant get quotes from some other ones. They were all expensive and had sour attitudes. I then went to Thumbtack, and didn't love the first message I got (quote was expensive and vague), so I then read Aaron’s message. He sounded efficient so I called him up. On the phone, he was so friendly, so efficient, and talked me through the problem. He then gave him his rates clearly: one hour of troubleshooting rate, rate after troubleshooting, and emergency rate (service RIGHT NOW). I loved how clear, informative and friendly he was so I booked him for 8am this morning. He then showed up EXACTLY on time and got to work figuring it out, getting the facts, and educating me the whole time. I cannot emphasize enough how much I appreciate his education of what he was doing step by step. The Diagnosis: a bit of plastic broke on a mini circuit breaker, and the wire had loss connection to the switch. I have an old Zinsco breaker box so if I wanted to replace the mini, I would have had to get a whole breaker box or hunt down this obsolete part. He said I most definitely don't need to get a new breaker box - we can still use the mini because, besides the bit of plastic, it's in fantastic shape, not a danger, and just needs to be reconnected. I LOVE that he said this because I hate wasting a perfectly fine breaker box and I don't want to spend money I don't need to. What a difference from the building handy man I had come in and say I should definitely get a new one just because mine is old. In the end, with education and all, he fixed it in less than 45 minutes. He even provided an extremely detailed receipt of the work he did. I ADORE DETAILS. Last amazing thing about him, he drives a truck filled with obsolete parts for people like me with very old circuit breakers. He didn't have the one I needed, but he still has a ton. Summary: If I could, I would give Massella Electric 10 stars. I am literally in the best mood and glowing from his fantastic service. Thank you Aaron for the thorough education, reasonable price, detailed receipt, and fantastic attitude!

Carlos gave very reasonable estimate. I hired him without looking for another estimate from other electricians. He did come with me to home depot for parts for little additional $ for his time. He also installed my new electric car charger for little additional $. Work : New 14-50R receptacle, new 50A circuit breaker. Some arranging of circuit breakers in panel to make space for new breaker, wiring

Rick is a first class electrician. He responded to my inquiry within an hour. Even thought it was late afternoon and very hot he came same day. Fished a wall, added wiring and a wall switch for fan , Then he found a huge mistake from previous work ( not his) and fixed it. Very nice guy, veteran ( thank you for your service) and family man. I will absolutely use Rick again

Working with Justin was fantastic and I’ll certainly be reaching out to him again. I had an issue at a vacation rental property I own on a Saturday morning, once I had brought Justin up to speed, he was there Sunday morning and had the problem fixed. I really appreciated his responsiveness on Thumbtack and was grateful he could get my electrical issue fixed so quickly. When it comes to finding an electrician in the pay, I’ve called every number on Yelp – only to get few if any return phone calls 48 to 72 hours later. Thumbtack made my experience incredibly easy and Justin was on top of it!

We needed GFCIs installed on our pool light and on two kitchen outlets, plus some caulking in both showers. Jeff was right on time, cool with our dogs, conscientious about clean-up, fast, and extremely fair in his pricing. He charged us for materials without marking up, and rounded his time to the nearest half hour. We would definitely recommend him and use him again!

You will never have to look any further for a more qualified, professional, trustworthy, well spoken electrician and all around great guy. Tom is all those things and more. I had a problem with a backyard remodel that included installing underground gas lines extending about 80 feet and connected to very expensive outdoor heaters. My contractors workers could not figure out how to properly connect the heaters and would never read the manuals when I suggested that. Ultimately the heaters were connected incorrectly and didn't work. They no longer knew how to troubleshoot the problem and pretty much made it my problem from there. The few electricians I did contact said up front they did not want to take on the task or they kept saying that they needed to come out to "take a look" if it was something they could resolve. Two did come to assess the problem. Decided they didn't know how to fix the problem but of course charged me to "take a look". From then on I made sure to ask other electricians if they had experience with gas lines and gas heaters. They never wanted to answer that question and insisted on coming out. That was very frustrating for me because when I pushed the question they admitted they did not have the experience. From the initial inquiry Tom responded within minutes. He answered at least a dozen questions in detail and never pushed to make an appointment. I asked him for an appointment. He showed up on time. He could immediately smell gas leaks where I could not. In a few minutes he found several problems. Made sure to show me each problem and explain how they affect the heaters from working properly. He fixed everything in a little more then two hours and finally the heaters worked beautifully. I also had him install a motion light. He is coming back next week to install 4 indoor fans, more motion lighting outside and two attic fans. Tom turned a stressful and frustrating problem around for me. I'm so grateful to him!

Pacific Electric saved us throughout our electrical nightmare!! We had 2 other electricians out to trouble shoot the problem. Neither of which were able to resolve the issue, but had no problem charging us still!! Finally we called Pacific Electric and thankfully Brian and his son were able to come out (on a Sunday nonetheless) and diagnosed and fixed the problem for us within 2 hours!! Words can’t express how relieved we were! And for a super reasonable rate! Thanks again guys for all your help
