First and foremost, Abina is a genuinely wonderful person and a talented makeup artist with a bright future ahead of her. That said, I want to leave an honest and thorough review so future brides can make an informed decision. Services Purchased: Two trials and day-of bridal makeup for myself and three members of my bridal party. Abina was receptive, professional, and accommodating throughout the process. She welcomed my feedback, offered helpful tips for my dry skin, and collaborated with me to refine my look across two trials. When I wasn't satisfied with the foundation she used in the first trial, she was open to me researching alternatives and return for a second session using my own selection (Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk). By the second trial, I felt fully confident and excited about my bridal look. **Cons** - Unexpected Accommodation Request: My start time was 3am, booked approximately six months in advance. One month before the wedding, Abina requested to stay overnight at the hotel where I was getting ready — suggesting she sleep in my room, on a couch, or with my bridal party. This was not outlined in our contract. While I understood the logistical challenge of the early call time, accommodating this request cost me an unplanned $400 for a separate hotel room. I wish this had been discussed and formalized at the time of booking. - Bridal Party Results: I provided detailed written notes and photo inspiration for each member of my bridal party's makeup. Unfortunately, none of them were happy with their final looks, and experienced lashes that fell off even after being reapplied. It felt as though the reference materials I provided weren't fully incorporated into the execution. **Pros** - Abina arrived promptly at 3am without complaint — no small feat. - My own bridal makeup was exactly what I envisioned. I had zero complaints about my personal look. - She was collaborative, kind, and easy to communicate with throughout the planning process. Overall, I would happily book Abina again for my own makeup. However, based on my bridal party's experience, I'd recommend that each person have a direct conversation with her about their vision rather than relying solely on photo inspiration — particularly when time is limited on the wedding day. The unexpected accommodation cost was frustrating, and the lash issues (for both myself in the second trial and my bridal party on the day) suggest that adhesive technique may be an area for growth. Despite the hiccups, Abina's warmth and professionalism left a positive impression, and I believe she has the foundation to become an exceptional artist.
