Over 30 years’ experience helping people communicate well. Learn to speak clearly and intentionally, with passion and purpose, whether you are giving a speech, training your team, giving presentations, or improving conversational skills. Self-expression should feel joyful and powerful. Experience speaking as expansion instead of constraint. We will unlock expression where it feels blocked, work on speech, pronunciation, voice quality, content, messaging and writing as needed to get you to your goals and feeling confident about your unique voice. I have a Master’s Degree from Brooklyn College and a BFA in Acting from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. I am a former Kennedy Center Artist-Educator and key-note speaker. I am also a writer, published author and editor – which comes in handy because content is just as important as how you deliver it. For many people, speaking is stressful and intimidating. My coaching sessions move you past fear with highly attuned, creative and fun exercises that are focused and specific to what you need. You’ll experience in-the-moment insights and start to change how you see your problem and your ability. New perspectives will emerge and a different approach to communication that liberates your authentic self-expression while allowing you to take into consideration the people on the receiving end of your communication. I bring to my sessions over 30 years of lived experience in creativity and self-expression. I worked as a professional actor in NYC for over 10 years. During this time, I started teaching public speaking and helping business professionals with presentation and speaking skills. As a Level 5 TEFL certified instructor, I also worked with ESL clients to improve their English fluency, pronunciation, writing, and communication skills. I’ve taught Acting, Improvisation, and Scene Study at Brooklyn College, NY and Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL. As an adjunct professor for Lesley University’s creative M.Ed. program for teachers in Boston, MA, I trained teacher cohorts around the country in innovative, theatre-based language arts and writing strategies designed to engage, motivate and inspire students. For the FL Department of Education, I provided professional development and training throughout the state and worked as a consultant and trainer for the Miami, Broward, and Palm Beach School Districts. My creative, hands-on writing curriculum, Incite to Write, has helped thousands of students here and abroad gain confidence in their writing and communication skills. Throughout my career, I have taken something people experience as stressful, rigid, or intimidating (writing, speaking, performing) and turned it into something do-able, expressive and fun through creative strategies and new perspectives that allow shifts in thinking, expression, and confidence to occur. FEE STRUCTURE: $120/hr. Adults $90/hr. StudentsSee more
