Introduction: For 13 years I lived life in the fast lane, working at some of the most prestigious banks in NYC. The opportunity allowed me to work with some of brightest minds in the world - because who you work with matters. I had a wide range of experiences, from advising senior leadership to taking on huge sales + leadership responsibilities. It's the sort of journey that not only helps you put life in perspective, but also puts you in a position to help others in their career journey. My background: I'm a California native - born in raised in southern California. I attended UC Berkeley where I earned a BA in Rhetoric. Which means: I've been able to hone my "art-of-words". As a forever-student, I also attended Columbia Business School and earned an MBA before moving back to CA in 2016. Since 2016, I've been on an entrepreneurial quest. I started a kombucha business (super awesome) but soon realized that I wasn't inspired to scale the venture. In the meantime (in 2018), I took on consulting work for big-brand companies, which bought me time until I hatched my next business idea. By the end of 2019, I launched a food business and have been on my way, the pandemic making it all the more interesting. In my current venture I sell my products to stores all over San Diego, with clients scattered across the country. I've always gravitated towards experiences where I could help others develop professionally. I've created and reviewed dozens of business plans, reviewed thousands of resumes, coached numerous people on a wide spectrum of topics. I've spent a lot of time as a performance & business consultant. Even as a sales director in NYC, I found it to be a blend of every type of role - management, market strategy, sales/marketing, people/leadership coaching, career coaching, number crunching, entrepreneur. In general, if you are looking to solve a problem, or need guidance for your business, career or life - I'm confident I can help you. Carla was very easy to work with. She is outstanding with words and brought my story to life on paper. At first, we chatted quickly on the phone to discuss my situation, my background and set up a time to meet. I sent her my resume - a basic template used in my line of work. I also sent her a job description for where I'm applying. 24 hours later I was sitting with Carla live in-person, with a first draft of my resume already done. While in-person, she asked lots of questions and dug into my experiences. There were a lot of military/government service acronyms and she took the time to look them up. Bottom line, she made it easy. She even researched the job I was applying to to make sure I had the right content for the cover letter, which she also helped me write. Don't hesitate to hire her.
