I've worked with Phil for a number of years, and I enjoyed it very much. He is super knowledgeable, and challenging pushing me to achieve my best. Most importantly Phil is safe, I've never been injured or even close, which is crucial to working out. You can't exercise if you are hurt.

I have worked with Phil for many years. He helped me with fitness, nutrition and acupuncture to help me lower my blood pressure. For the past four years I have been off my blood pressure medication and am healthier and happier than Ive ever been. And best of all I fit in my skinny jeans!!!

Phil is by far the best personal trainer and acupuncturist I've ever met. Not only is he the most informative, he's very well spoken, and teaches with a level of affection and skill that has helped mold me into not just better shape, but into a better person. He has helped guide my dietary needs, in addition to always teaching me new exercises and ways to get myself into excellent shape. I am so glad that I have met Phil and he has become part of my life. He is one of the nicest and respectable people I know, and I am blessed that he has become my trainer and friend.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    Every year I have to maintain my State License and certifications by completely 25 hours a year of continued education. (CEU's) That provides me with up- to- date and most current research in the field of health, fitness, Acupuncture and nutrition.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    Okay- you've decided it's time to get in shape. Finally you're ready to look better and feel better the sensible way, through nutrition and exercise. Because time and experience has shown you the truth... Ab gizmo's don't work and infomercials are a joke. You're finally ready to get real and transform your body once and for all. You've heard amazing success stories, watched many episodes of "Extreme Makeover" and have decided to seek out the guidance of a PERSONAL TRAINER. But not all personal trainers are created equal, So how do you find the right one for YOU? 1). They must be certified by a nationally accredited institution. 2). They should do more than just "take you through a workout." Anyone can count to 15 by themselves and hold a clipboard. Look for a coach that will educate you about ALL the components necessary to achieve optimal health and fitness result. Your trainer should review nutrition education with you, educate you about proper supplements, review resistance training (balance training, core work, stability balls, medicine balls, etc...) Cardiovascular exercise to maximize fat burning, flexibility to avoid injury and speed recovery. Goal setting, putting together a plan of action, then holding you accountable and supporting you through the entire process is critical to your success. Look for someone who will empower you for life! A great fitness coach will do more than just help you to achieve your goals. A true professional will teach you the foundation of knowledge so you will no longer be lost in the sea of confusion when it comes to all the diet and exercise hype. The foundation of knowledge and correct technique you'll learn will allow you to maintain your results for life.
