What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Start by having a conversation, collecting ideas/ looks/ concepts and confirming we are on the same page.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am self taught but have taken many workshops over the years to fine tune my skills and creative approaches.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My daughters were involved in musical theatre and dance when they were young. I thought it would be nice to offer the studio/producers cast photos and "performance" photos during the shows/dress rehearsals, so they can in turn sell them to the parents. This led to parents requesting headshots of their children. This evolved into getting more involved in social media for promoting my craft and shooting adult actors, models and "corporate" staff. Eight years ago I got divorced, purchased a townhouse and converted my extra room to a studio to offer more choices to clients, and further worked on lighting and compositional creativity.
