FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At Hope2K9 Foundation we provide personalized training and behavior modification services through one-on-one sessions or Board & Train programs, as well as group classes and pack walks. We are located in Escondido, California. Our training methods are balanced and include both positive reinforcement as well as structure, boundaries, and remote collar training which allows for calm, clear communication of unwanted behavior. We are specialist in e collar training, and provide tools to meet your dog where they're at, as well as to empower owner to have the simplest and most consistent means of maintaining good behavior once their dog is at home.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My passion for dog training was born out of the desire to solve behavioral issues in my very first rescue Boxer, 17 years ago. I was just an average dog owner struggling to understand how to establish a calm and balanced relationship with my dog, but feeling frustrated and unsure about how to make heads or tails of all the conflicting information out there. I know firsthand what it feels like to have a stressful, discouraging, and even dangerous life with your dog. The great thing is, there are solutions for you!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
With my background in clicker work, agility, classic conditioning, and balanced, 'state of mind' training, I have worked with dozens of foster dogs and personal training clients alike, to bring about peace, reliability, and fun for both dog and handler. Many of these dogs have truly been at their worst, but through our one-on-one or Board & Train services, they have become enjoyable family pets, who no longer create chaos and frustration for their owners.
