- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Growing up our mother was an independent housekeeper and worked at a hospital in the housekeeping department. Needless to say we grew up having and knowing how to clean the RIGHT way. Four years ago, we decided to start part time doing cleaning services from referrals and word-of-mouth. That grew in to us learning the proper way to clean, customer service, the whole business itself and decided to start our business Cleaning Angels together and now here we are!!
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We had a client call us in desperate need of help with her home. She has had two back surgeries, so her husband was helping her with the chores at the home and he broke his ankle, so now they are both unable to take care of the home. She had made an ad on Thumbtack for a deep clean. When we did our walk-through for the in-home estimate there was much more at hand to do. But our motto is "no job is to big or to small." We decided to give her a package deal so that it was more affordable instead of charging her several additional service charges. We helped her with laundry, dishes, and everything in between and got her home in tiptop shape. The smile and relief on her house was priceless!! She was so grateful and overjoyed with are services that she hired us for by weekly cleanings. That night she called and left us a voicemail thanking us and letting us now how lucky she was to have found us. That made two happy Cleaning Angels!!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
They should research the individual or business by visiting their Facebook page if they have one (we do under Cleaning Angels) and read reviews and/or Thumbtack. Also looking at photos that have been posted of their work. They should also do a walk-through of their own home and analyze what they would really like done in their home. That way the cleaning business and the client can work together to put together a plan to get the home in the condition the client is overall more than happy with.
