Mike is a great instructor. I was a novice in the self defense game. Mike was patient and took time to provide proper instruction. Mike would spend time with each student and demonstrate proper techniques. I have moved out of state and can't find another instructor like Mike.
I have been training in self defense and fitness with Colton for over six months. What impresses me most about Colton is his expertise and ability to customize lessons based on my needs. Where else can you find a nutritionist, martial arts expert and fitness trainer all in one person - and such a knowledgeable one at that? You can find him at Fuller Fitness!
I attended Cynthia Jolicoeur’s “Intro to Personal Defense Readiness” course in the Boston area over Labor Day week-end last year (9/4/16). I had no specific expectations other than to learn some new ideas and techniques. (I am a 5th degree black belt in the Ed Parker American Kenpo style, so brought that experience and mindset into the training.) I was quite pleased to receive such a thorough presentation on how the Blauer PDR system differs from martial arts training, along with a wealth of other information that is not typically provided in self-defense training, in particular the psychological and emotional components that accompany the physical aspect. Cynthia was extremely knowledgeable and well-versed in this material and answered most participant questions without referring to notes. The physical component was ably demonstrated by Cynthia and her “bad guy,” Dave Rood. All the participants had multiple opportunities to practice on them and on each other. The outdoor scenarios were excellent and provided realistic “hands on” experience of what to do (or not do) in the event of an unexpected attack. Cynthia’s own black belt karate experience is invaluable for helping participants who come from a martial arts background remember how the PDR system is different. Not that the martial arts experience is wrong, but that there are cases when it’s ineffective and doesn’t really prepare the martial artist mentally to respond appropriately to a sudden, violent attack. I highly recommend Cynthia’s course.
Where do I began, Jarrod is an amazing coach hands down! When I first started training with him I always felt I was going to fail, but he believe in me so I started to, he got me in the best shape of my life and ready for a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament in 4 months in the boys division. Jarrod is the definition of intensity he loves doing this, and that's what makes his coaching that much more beneficial cause all he want you to do is try, never give up and push your self. By training with him I never thought it would effect my thought process my emotions and my life in such a positive way. I wouldn't want to train with anyone else. I have such high respect for Jarrod! Nothing but amazing coaching he's a joy to be around and he knows what he's doing! Why wouldn't you want a instructor like him?
You will not find a better nutritionist and health coach than Shizumi. Since I began working with her I have lost 50 pounds, have gained huge amounts of energy and am in the greatest shape I have ever been in my life. She not only got me eating and exercising better but also improved my overall outlook on myself and my life. She has also helped me work on my confidence, organization skills, self image, and put perspective to what I direction I am moving in my life. I cannot put into words how much she has helped and educated me and I hope that anyone looking for a nutritionist has the good fortune to meet Shizumi.
I have been a student of Sifu Daniel Quincys since 2009. Through his classes and practices, I feel that I really gained a skill that will benefit me for the rest of my life. Having dislocated my knee multiple times, I had a very poor sense of balance and was unsteady on my feet. Daniel has helped me gain my balance and, more importantly, shown me how to center myself. He has a deep knowledge of the human body and teaches how to use proper alignment and explain what motions are healthy or dangerous. This is invaluable since many of us have lost this inherent knowledge about how to use our bodies. Daniel is very approachable and welcoming, always inviting newcomers to come at any time. He is always open to questions and helps new (and old!) students understand the practices at all levels. He has a wealth of knowledge about the background and history of tai chi and qi gong, and this helps to put the practice into perspective. In the end, you will gain a practice that makes you feels great, gets your energy flowing and is wonderful for your mind, body and spirit!
Amanda is wonderful! I was a bit nervous when deciding to choose and look for a personal trainer. Amanda from day one made it easy. From the initial free first training session, to her continuous support, nutrition knowledge and enthusiasm and energy that pushes you to achieve your goal! She doesn't let me give up and I need that. Her always friendly, positive personality keeps me coming back and looking forward to actually working out! Very lucky to have found her! Margie H.
I have been a customer of Joe's for over a year now and I could not be more happy with the results that he has pushed me to achieve! He is very easy to talk to and get along with! Joe is a well rounded trainer and has a solid background in Kickboxing. I am constantly seeing results both mentally and physically because of the attention to detail that Joe provides with every workout. Looking forward to many more sessions!
I have been doing Krav under Josh's instruction for six months and can tell you that the results are amazing. If you want to lose weight and tone up quickly he is the one to help you do it! More importantly, I have learned so much from his self defense training! He teaches you to be ready for any and every scenario that could come your way. The best part is that he charges half the price of other instructors that have way less experience. Josh is worth every penny, you won't be sorry! Misty

I am a more than 20-year practitioner of eskrima, which is a form of Filipino martial arts. I am highly knowledgeable in the "sweet science," which is boxing. I have a 4-year study of krav maga at University of Krav Maga located in San Francisco, CA. I am new to the area. My main goal and focus is not your money but to instruct and teach. At a very young age, I began my lifelong study of defending myself and my family. I aim to teach people who may need it. It is a way to have comfort and knowledge of themselves to protect them and their loved ones or property. Give me a call, or email me. I will beat any price quote out there that you have been given elsewhere. Thank you. Ricky
I've been doing martial arts since I was 12, and I started with tae kwon do and got my black belt by the age 14 and my junior instructor certification at the age of 16, and I have been teaching off and on since then. What you'll get from me and not anyone else is that I have studied every aspect of martial arts, from the physical kinesiology of the movements and techniques we do to exercise/weightlifting techniques and regimen composition and nutrition and eating habits and also the most commonly overlooked aspect, the mental and psychological (spiritual) side which is very important for a well-rounded martial artist and especially for anyone who wants to become a black belt. As for me, I am a third-degree black belt in tae kwon do but also a black belt in judo, hapkido, tae kuk mu sul, and aikido, as well as being well versed in many more style and arts. I competed in numerous point-sparring tournaments when I was younger and loved it. I also played high school football and college rugby which also effected effects my athletic style.
