I am an athlete at heart and I found myself completely unhappy with my body and health about a year ago. After trying to work on my self esteem first, I decided in September it was time to get back into fitness like I had been my whole life. I came on thumbtack and scheduled meetings with five different trainers. I met with JJ first and cancelled the rest before I even had a workout with him. Honestly I hired him only based off of his personality and game plan for for getting me back into shape. He literally is one of the funniest people I have met. However he doesn't mess around when it's time to work. And each workout I find that he can push me to limits I didn't know I had. I have lost 24 pounds so far but have become so much stronger and healthier. We weight lift, do cardio, and he has taught me personal defense. I was skeptical paying money to get fit but I'm investing in my health and it truly makes me happy. (He is going to make fun of me for getting sappy on this but whatever he deserves it)
I originally was looking for a trainer who could teach me self-defense for a trip I was going to be taking where these skills might be needed in case of emergency. I found Vinny on thumbtack and was immediately impressed with his resume. He made the effort to come all the way from Santa Clarita to my house which I appreciated. Just after one lesson, I could see a difference in myself. After just a few lessons, Vinny has taught me so much. I am now more confident in what I can do and in my safety. He has helped me to realize that with practice and skill, I can take on any challenge that I may come up against. At 16, it means a lot to know that I have taken certain pre-cautions to ensure my safety and well-being which causes me to have a peace of mind. I owe it all to Vinny and I highly recommend him as a trainer because every girl deserves to know that they have the power and right to learn and defend themselves.
Definitely looking forward to working with coach Margo for the long run. I was looking for someone to help me in both conditioning as well as self defense. This would be my first time having a personal trainer outside of my family. I was a bit nervous as I had just done research online and had not actually attended anywhere. Coach Margo was the first to respond to my request which was awesome. I was wanting something immediate as well. He was ready to start right away. Coach Margo was extremely professional and my Fiancee actually ended up wanting to train with him as well. I am excited to continue training with coach Margo in learning Muay Thai.

Wow! An hour goes so fast and I get a good workout plus learning Krav Maga. It is a friendly helpful environment that you are only in competition with yourself. Always encouraged to push yourself to do your very best. Lots of one on one because the instructors walk around the students when doing the drills/exercises and make suggestions and corrections as needed. (In Orange county I was charged $100.00 for 45 minutes for a one on one.) They have a wide range of people from children’s classes to adult classes with ages from teens to 70s. The common thread seems that everyone wants to learn Krav Maga, build self-confidence, get stronger and more fit while having fun. Can’t bet that!

Successful execution of defending oneself does not depend on the strenght of the practitioner, rather it is the method that is applied. The techniques that are taught are simple, straight to the point and easy to learn. My teaching method is very hands on with a great attention to detail, the student is built up with each class session. I offer quality martial arts self defense training at a reasonable price, more expensive does not always mean something is better. The greatest reward I receive is watching someone grow in the art and gain confidence knowing they can protect themselves. In the class I am very approachable and all questions are answered.
