Central Air Conditioning Repair or Maintenance

I had requested routine maintenance for my newly installed HVAC system. I had also mentioned that there was no problems whatsoever. When the technician arrived, he asked me if any problems. When I told him that my filter was not dirty despite being a year old, he got angry that I called him for such minor reasons. It was an awkward exchange as he didn't seem to like me asking some questions about the filter. I then had to remind him about the routine maintenance. He briefly checked everything and confirmed that everything is ok. More than the service, it was his condescending tone which was a put off. I would have appreciated an educational tone as it is my first time being an HVAC owner, and which I had stated early enough. Update: The company called immediately to apologize for the experience and offered to refund the fee. Since there was no problem with the work done, I accepted the offer. I am updating my review due to the good customer service.

The thing that made the difference in why I selected FAR was because they were proactive about wanting our business. I received 3-4 responses to my job as soon as I posted it, and I was in the process of filling out the RFQ for a different company when FAR actually called me to confirm we had received their reply, and I ended up booking an appointment with them right then. It definitely pays to be proactive. I had also described the issue with our dishwasher so precisely, the tech was able to send me an estimate over the phone, saving the visit for the actual repair instead of the investigation. I like that efficiency!

Central Air Conditioning Repair or Maintenance

I cannot begin to express my gratefulness to the team at First Appliance. They fixed my complex hydronic air-conditioning system - that over the years I have spent thousands and thousands of wasted dollars on. All that was wrong with it was a leak - in a VERY OBVIOUS valve - which for some reason NO OTHER TECHNICIAN could locate over the years - what scammers! Grrr. It took Jason - the HONEST, GENIUS technician - assigned to me - just about 2 hours to detect the leak - fix the leak - replenish the freon - and my system is as good as new! I would give these guys 10 stars if Thumbtack had the option! The entire process was a breeze - from the first point of contact by Mary over the phone - to Jason diagnosing the problem and then fixing my problem all within a span of 2 days. And all for such a reasonable price! Thank you First Appliance. I have been telling just about everyone I know to contact you if they need help with their air conditioning system. The world needs more honest, smart, people like you!
