Shawn of ecWorks did a great job of installing a kitchen hood/fan for me. He was punctual, polite and a good value. The installation was tricky because he had to drill holes through a granite backsplash.
Shawn was one of 3 highly rated handymen that I contacted. One said they couldn’t do it because they were worried about cracking the granite. One said they could do it for $250 but never responded when I asked them if they were licensed and insured and could drill through granite.
Shawn arrived exactly on time, he had experience installing kitchen hood/fans and did a great job for me. I would definitely consider asking Shawn to help with all of your household projects.

Having Chon take off our existing kitchen vent to replace it with a more modern, European, cylindrical in shape, one has been the highlight of our week so far. From the first text, Chon has been professional, friendly & super responsive. He came by a few days before installation to check on the work to do & gave us a detailed estimate which was amazing. Today Chon did a wonderful job, making sure all details & protocols were followed, his attention to detail & professionalism are outstanding. Not to mention wearing shoe covers & making sure surfaces were covered & protected. He also installed 2 sets of bathroom faucets. My husband & I couldn’t be more pleased & more grateful to have had Chon complete these projects for us. We are looking forward to the next time ! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing structure is simple and transparent. I provide line item proposals for service type projects and competitive lump sum proposals for larger projects. I can provide free remote estimates via FaceTime or other virtual means like zoom or Microsoft Teams. For qualified customers, I can also provide financing for larger projects at a reasonable interest rate. Inquire for details. *Please note: Credit Card Payments require a 3.5% processing fee and both Pay Pal & Venmo require a 2.5 % processing fee.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
New customers will need to fill out a customer information form and provide method of payment. Deposits maybe required depending on size and timeline of project.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My education and training background includes completion of electrical apprenticeship, B.S. in Business, PMA, and 20+ years overall work experience in the construction industry. I’ve held positions from apprentice, journeyman, foreman, superintendent, to project manager.
