FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My base price is $50 per hour. However, because I feel a one-hour session per week is not always sufficient for a student, discounts can be given based off of the student's needs. Our first visit is free, and is just so I can meet with both the student and the parent to make sure that I am a good fit for both. We can negotiate prices at that point.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Absolutely I do! Because the brain is like a muscle, it's necessary to "exercise" it constantly. I am constantly learning both math skills and teaching skills to ensure effective communication with my students. And because the California Board of Education changes its requirements, I do my best to keep up with them.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
For the most part, I adapt to each student and their needs. Some need help with their homework, some need to have the lessons learned in class reinforced, while others may wish to prepare for future lessons. In any case, I spend time with each student, tailoring each tutoring session to them.
