I had participated in numerous weight loss programs before joining Stronger by the Pound. Cumulatively, each of them wanted to accomplish the glorified, hard-earned healthy lifestyle we all crave to have. However, this program specifically targeted something that surprised me, and is usually overlooked: balance. It’s common to tell clients that they can enjoy the foods they love in moderation, but finding the bigger picture of balance is the biggest challenge that can set a weight loss journey off course. Balance is more than just having a colorful plate, but rather finding and filling in the gaps in your lifestyle. I truly valued the challenges of finding my balance in my every day life with Coach Kate, while also discovering new ways to focus on different areas of my health that didn’t receive a lot of attention before. Unlike most programs, I wasn’t taught to stray away from the foods I enjoyed (and believe me I enjoy an array of foods on the daily). But being able to take a step back and out of my comfort zone has helped me create new habits in my every day life. I was surprised I was able to still enjoy the foods I loved, and the changes I began to see in myself still shined through. They weren’t dramatic changes though, but they were enough to show me the areas where I was imbalanced in my health. This program has helped me attune to the needs of my body more. The flexibility of this program has helped me see that I’ve always had the control to improve my overall health and wellness, but sometimes we just need the right support to create even the slightest change. Kate did an awesome job listening to my goals when I decided to join her. She was very supportive and provided feedback and tips to help achieve my goals! She helped me get back into weight training & worked on helping me reach my goals. Thank you Kate for your help in training not just physically but also mentally!

I have been with Kate for at least 5 months and have felt myself stronger than ever. I not only learned about nutrition: how much protein, fat, vegetables and carbohydrates to eat, but also helped me substitute my unhealthy habits to a healthy one, of course not without difficulty. She pushed me to build a more consistent routine and taught me the timing on when I should eat as well. So you’re not just getting your workouts in when training under Kate, but you also learn things about your nutrition and your habits.

I've been working with Kate for a month now and have greatly enjoyed every day of it. She is very attentive and encouraging. Not only does she focus on teaching me how to effectively exercise, she also puts an emphasis on nutrition. I can tell through continuing the program with her that this is absolutely not a "quick fix" type of program. She is very realistic with the timing of weight loss and body recomposition goals and it takes a joint effort from you and her to see results. She does a good job at holding me accountable and offering alternatives in terms of an exercise or food item. The workouts are very effective. I can safely say I might have worked out in the past but she showed me the correct form and method to actually work out those muscles and moves I previously found easy were actually brutal. I'm looking forward to continuing working with her!
