I have worked with Paul Hughes in a number of Financial Communications areas and have found his work to be: Insightful of the Capital Markets, Research Driven, and Highly Targeted to his Readership.
A journalist, he was never afraid of either; 1) Crunching numbers, or 2) Telling the truth about an equity, ETF, IPO, or, bond.
Paul Hughes has a solid AP style of writing that is both formal and casual at the same time; the mark of a good communicator.
His logical skills have always fit in very well with buy-side trading and his ability to grasp both the fundamentals and technical side of a proposition have always been evident in his financial writing.
