Introduction
Yuriko Shibagaki is a piano teacher, pianist, accompanist, and licensed Music Together® director and registered teacher.
She was born in Shizuoka Japan, and started to play piano at the age of 5. After she graduated from music college in Japan, she became a piano teacher in KAWAI music school and she also worked as a pianist in Japan. Yuriko has played at cafes, bars, nursing homes and wedding parties.
After that, she moved to Pasadena, CA in 2012 and studied contemporary music. In the meantime, she was teaching piano there and working as a pianist and accompanist. She has experience with around 100 students over the last 12 years.
In 2018, Yuriko moved to Garden Grove, CA and she completed the Music Together teacher training.
Started own music studio Doremi Fun Music in 2020.
She is a member of the Music Teacher’s Association of California, and a pianist for Grace United Methodist church.

Yuriko is an excellent teacher! She is teaching my daughter and she loves Her lessons. It’s over FaceTime, but it’s just as good as in person. It’s worth the try!

I have been learning piano with Yuriko online since pandemic starts. I had no experience with piano but now I know how to play songs that I like. It's definitely fun, and learning so much even via FaceTime lessons. She is an excellent teacher. Highly recommended.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Yuriko’s lessons. She is super nice and passionate. I had 2 other teachers in the past but Yuriko is the best. She’d playing is amazing too.
