About
I love the cello and to teach it. $140 an hour a great price for online lessons from a Royal Northern College or Music cello professor and a Juilliard graduate. I am a devoted teacher and get great joy from helping my students achieve their goals. If you're not sure, I offer free consultation lessons to anyone interested. All levels welcome! Must be noted I am only doing virtual lessons at this time.

Eddie is absolutely excellent cello teacher with a supportive and very effective teaching style. He is very professional and responsive. My son has improved a lot and always looks forward to his next cellolesson. I would highly recommend Eddie to anyone who has always wanted to learn cello from the best!

Several months ago I started the cello. As an adult learner, respect is a key skill I look for in an instructor. I am constantly blown away with, not only, Eddie's respect for where I've come from musically, but also what he brings to the table. It's never, "that's wrong, do it this way," rather, "That's awesome! Ready for the next level!?" I've told him where I want to go as a student and he provides the foundation to get me there. I, also, like the fact that he walks the walk; not just talks the talk. Teaching comes from a place of experience with him; he's been there, had experience and I give him my whole-hearted recommendation!

Eddie is doing a wonderful job teaching me, I chose to pick up cello for leisure and he is very flexible with what hours are convenient to you. In no time I was playing exponentially better and picking up basic skills in no time at all. Highly recommend and a great virtual instructor!

I truly enjoy learning to play the Cello with Eddie! He is a great teacher, using clear and linear explanations for my questions. He is excited and encouraging during our lessons which I really appreciate. Eddie is an obvious master of his craft and I feel lucky to have found him on Thumbtack!

I have been taking lessons with Eddie for the last four months or so. I have always been more of a self learner but having someone else there to discuss technique and share the experience is definitely better, even if it is just over FaceTime or Skype. From the start Eddie used the music I like to play as basis for learning and improving. He also challenged me to take on pieces I thought were beyond my level. He helped break them down into manageable exercises and soon with practice I saw a big improvement. He is good at adjusting material, style and technique to the student's level and make overcoming even challenging passages an achievable goal. He is also very accommodating and capable of working with various genres.
