Ben was helpful experienced and knowledgeable working on a new song as a songwriter I was in a pinch having limited guitar theory. Ben’s intuitive ability navigated bad ass ideas he even sent me a music sheet based on our session which was really above and beyond!!!

My 9 year old son is brand new to guitar but loves it so he wanted private lessons. We've had two lessons so far but they've been great. For anyone looking to improve at guitar, whether you are a beginner or have been playing for many years and need to push your skills to the next level, Ben is someone you should be working with. His technical capabilities, coupled with his knowledge of music, makes him the best teacher I have worked with. My playing noticeably improved after just a few sessions.
Ben's setup is really effective at a time where we can't have lessons face-to-face. He offers single lessons or you can purchase them as a pack, which reduces the overall cost per session when compared with buying them individually. I would recommend doing this. You won't be disappointed.

I have been working with Ben for about a month now and I'm so thankful I found him as a teacher! I have been playing guitar casually and sometimes in bands for a long time but have been stuck in a plateau for the last ten years or so. Within the first lesson, he answered many of my very specific technique questions and we plotted out my guitar goals. Ben is amazing at figuring out your needs as a player while also integrating ways to make the process really enjoyable. In my time with Ben so far, I've already improved at my instrument and have changed my approach to practicing. I hadn't taken formal music lessons for many years, but I am now much less daunted by the progress I hope to make. He is an incredibly inspiring guitarist, patient, and his discipline is enviable. Ben has been an incredible teacher. I have played guitar for 20 years and felt like I hadn't improved for the last 10. Ben has been able to help me learn new techniques for practicing, learning songs and improving in ways that I never thought I could have learned. He has been crucial to me learning the skills to work through songs I've always wanted to learn but never known how to do it.
Some of my favorite things I've learned from him are
Theory -
Scales and modes. I've always wanted to learn how to improv solo in ways beyond the pentatonic scale. I'm not there yet, but I'm miles ahead of where I was before I started lessons from Ben.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
In our first lesson, I will evaluate where you are at as a guitarist and make a customized lesson plan for you based on your level, goals, and stylistic preferences.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Professional Music from Berklee College of Music. I've also been a professional touring musician for over 17 years. I currently play guitar for international-touring Video Game Metal band Powerglove, as well as national-touring Progressive Metal band Lattermath.
