I have worked as a licensed electrician for fifteen years, mostly on commercial and industrial jobs. Although I have transitioned away from full-time electrical work, I still enjoy it in small doses. I prefer to use quality materials and install them in a craftsmanlike manner, so pick me if you want it done right the first time. I enjoy working with my hands to create installations that are not only functional, but hopefully either artistic or at least subtle in appearance.

After getting numerous estimates for work on my breaker panel wich ran into the thousands of dollars. I found someone who would do the work for 1500.00. But the problem was a week had gone by and he never showed up. Thankfully Ben reached out to me on thumbtack. He showed up when he said he would. Gave me a top and bottom line estamate. He even drove me to a Home Depot to pick up the part. Unfortunately it was out of stock. Ben said he had a few more jobs to do that day and said he would try and find the part. He text me later on that day and informed me he couldn't find it and that he would order it. The parts came in and Ben came back and did the work. By the way he showed up when he said he would. I will be calling Ben for future electrical needs. If you need a good honest electrician dont hes-itate to call Hess!

Thank you Rich! I like that "Hess-itate" line, I might have to steal it, lol. I'm glad we could fix the problem with a $200.00 circuit breaker, instead of replacing the whole panel.

Thank you Benjamin for installing our light fixture and fan!! Benjamin was punctual, courteous and efficient with his work. He came prepared with the tools he'd need to complete the job, and demonstrated he was a knowledgeable electrician. Good communication before the appointment and very reasonably priced!! Ben is great! Knowledgeable, on time, and super helpful, especially for someone like me who knows very little about electronics work. He offered advice and differing options to help solve my problem and only charged me the very fair low price he quoted. Highly recommended!

In my full-time career, I have become accustomed to prevailing hourly wages, but I am open to negotiation.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I determine the customers needs and preferences, which consists of a free initial consultation. Then I determine approximately how long it will take, what materials are necessary and if any special equipment is required in order to provide a reasonable estimate.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was trained as an electrician by the U.S. Navy and I also completed a five-year apprenticeship.
