Manolo Martinez is mouthy, disrespectful, and utterly rude. He has no respect for time and is profoundly inefficient. I had to get the Newark police department to stand by to avoid any harassment by him when I fired him on Friday. I do not recommend this guy and I will never hire him again. Unfortunately, handymen forget that there is less work out there and many unemployed handymen are ready to take up the assignment. Thumbtack should not even permit Manolo Martinez to be on this website. He is dangerous. He does not take "no" lightly. He is very aggressive. I was not paying for his 30 years of experience. I was paying for the work to be done. I already hired a replacement handyman who is charging me half the price and has his assistants to help speed up the work. He thought that I was a woman and he could scare me by being obnoxious. Wrong. I know how to speak and have my voice heard. Please anyone reading this should not hire this man. FYI. I am blocking this handyman on this website.

I made a consultation appointment for Friday at 1. The handyman messaged asking if they could change to 5. I let them know the change was fine, and received a message confirming our appt. Friday at 5, I didn’t hear anything. Called around 5:15, no answer. Waited until 6 and nobody ever showed up or contacted me.
