Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Leading you to adopt a permanent lifestyle change is my main objective. I am doing this by teaching a well-balance of safe and effective exercise and proper nutrition. I am not training by sessions, hours or pounds. I am coaching and motivating you to take full responsibility of your healthy body and mind. I will be walking with you through every step of your transformation journey. I enjoy most when I see my clients come back recognizing the first healthy change they have made in their daily routines. And I give myself a big pat in the back when my clients share with me that they work out on their own without having a training session with me. Awesome, right!

I've been working with Dan since Christmas 2010, and he is absolutely fantastic. He is very flexible, which is important if you have a crazy schedule. He comes up with all kinds of awesome exercises (I don't think we've done the same one twice in 3 months), and uses a variety of indoor, outdoor, and gym locations, so you're never bored and always finding new muscles you didn't even know you had. He's great with motivation and tracking progress, and most important: he delivers results! (Of course, you have to actually do the work, but he will walk with you every step of the way there.) Getting a personal trainer has been the biggest single improvement in my quality of life in years. If you're looking for a trainer, or thinking about it, try Dan!

I live in Colorado and Dan has been "virtually" training me and assisting with my diet. His approach to diet is very easy to adopt and quite simple to keep up, especially with the "binge" weekends! His ability to get the most out of my muscles and cardio in the shortest amount of time is fantastic. I work out about 45 minutes total 3 times a week and I am already feeling and seeing results that I didnt get working out 6 times a week. He is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I know what he is teaching me will become more of a lifestyle and less a "diet and exercise" routine thats hard to keep up. I would recommend him to anyone looking to maximize their time and make a life change.

Dan has been an awesome trainer for the the somewhat medium-small group we have. He's been coming to us for a couple of months now for bootcamp style workouts and he has made things a lot of fun. Dan demonstrates each exercise and is quick to make modifications for the group or for individuals as needed. We workout in limited space and he is always conscious of that when adjusting our circuits. He always changes our rotation so we are never doing the same thing week after week and each session seems to focus on a different muscle group while still giving us a great overall workout. Dan is very encouraging as we workout and will accept/incorporate challenges or suggestions we might have for him. I would highly recommend him to anyone in the area looking for a good trainer.

I had just overcome pneumonia and had lost about 10lbs; Dan not only helped me create a reasonable high-calorie diet to regain the weight, but also explained the pros and cons of cardiovascular exercises vs strength training, and how they play into my already high metabolism. His wealth of knowledge in nutrition and fitness was astounding! To the point that I regained the weight in about a month, started taking daily vitamin supplements combined with regular outdoor walking exercise, and included great options for stress management. Due to its success, this has become my health & wellness regime for the past two years.

Dan provided varying, exciting workouts (circuit training) and gave options to increase/decrease intensity. We would rarely repeat an exercise! Highly recommend. :)

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Others will tell you to ask for Certifications and Education. However, first thing first, I urge you ask for what types of forms you will be filling out when you attend the first session. Knowing the client's health conditions, history, exercise limitations and abilities is most important. I know you're enthusiastic to exercise and make changes but begin with knowing what you are capable to accomplish. Secondly, here comes the certification. Your personal trainer should possess nationally recognized certifications such as ACE, ACSM, NASM, etc.. This assures that you are working with a professional who has the knowledge and skills to provide you with a safe and effective workout. Also, never forget to ask for a proof of liability insurance. Things happen and you want to get the protection you deserve.
