This review comes to you live from my now nice and cool house and let me tell you that Juan is an absolute ANGEL walking among us. He went above and beyond the standard business practice to fix our broken AC and get it up and cooling once again. It had been over 2 years since we last had a working AC unit and the summers have been BRUTAL. I had finally managed to save up some money, and after some research of past reviews and ratings, decided to give Juan a try and TLDR I am so happy that I did. Prior to arriving at the scheduled time he sent a notification to confirm with me that he was en route to my house. I really appreciate when businesses or folks in general do this, as it gives me a heads up to have things ready for when they arrive. One slight nit pick is that it was an hour before he actually showed up so I would appreciate a 10-15 minute window at max but it is strictly a me thing and nothing against Juan. Still within the 2 hour window that he said he would arrive in. Once arrived he was cheerful, friendly toned, made a joke about having to turn the heater on since it was cool and a thunderstorm was in the area. I have found that if someone is willing to make a joke with you in the first five minutes of meeting them good things are ahead. He got straight to work and began asking me what was wrong and I explained that we had air, very hot air, coming out of the vents but alas it was not cool in the slightest. He went inside and got the system going and confirmed as such. I appreciate when folks actually LISTEN to me and confirm what I tell them and don't think they know better than me. After around 15 minutes or so of diagnosing various things he gave me the news. Now, this is the part I was dreading the most because I was honestly expecting to hear that I needed a whole new system and all that. Thank the Good Lord above, this was not one of those times. I was informed that the issue was a capacitor that got too hot and the wires melted together. Juan also explained that the capacitor was wired in such a way that it was not intended and this was from the last person who worked on our system. Now I don't have the first clue when it comes to electrical things, but I sincerely appreciate when someone is willing to explain it to me, in terms I can understand. Juan then explained that to fix the system it would require a new capacitor specifically designed for our compressor. First thought was specific equals more money, but essentially it just meant that we wouldn't need all the wires that were jumped together like on the old capacitor. Our system is 29 years old and praise the Lord still going strong, so compared to the quality of products they produce today, I would much rather repair than replace if at all possible. Juan also indicated that due to the age of the system a hard start kit would be advantageous and help take the stress off the compressor and help it last a bit longer, but wasn't required in any way. I appreciate when folks are straight with me and tell me what is required and what is optional. Now it was time for the BIG questions which was price. My estimate in my head was thinking $1k plus or something close to that. In reality, it was no where close to which I was thankful to hear. He broke the cost of everything down for me and gave me multiple options depending on what I wanted to get done. This included just the capacitor getting replaced and also with everything (the capacitor and hard start kit and labor). I stated my absolute max budget which was less than what the price would've been. This is the part where Juan went above and beyond. I feel he sensed that I wanted to get everything done, but I had resigned myself to just getting the capacitor replaced because I just needed to get the system up and running again after being without one for over 2 years. He jumped in and said he would be willing to do everything for what I had in cash on me at that moment and let me tell you this is where him being an absolute ANGEL came into play. That sense of relief and security that not only would our 29 year old system be getting fixed and we would no longer have to live in a 90 degree hot house, but also it would be getting a little bit of help in seeing it's hopefully 40th birthday, Good Lord willing, with the hard start kit. The years of anxiety, stress, headache and heartaches just melted away when he said that to me. It was so refreshing to have someone help me out in a REAL way. God is good to those who love Him and this was yet another way in which He showed me just how much. Once the repair was completed he went inside and verified that cool air was coming out. Checked our air filter and ended up giving us a brand new one for no additional cost. Went around further opening the vents to increase air flow, which is noticeable and appreciated. Overall, if you are looking for an honest, reliable, takes the time to LISTEN to you, and professional business who still has that human touch, and not that robotic, copy pasta, reads from a script, then look no further than J&I heating and cooling. You have a customer for life dude and I will be reaching out first to you when we need something done in regards to heating or cooling. You have no idea JUST how much of an ANGEL you were to both me and my aunt yesterday. May God bless you 100x for what you did for us. We sincerely appreciate it and have a blessed day.

AC was out, and I was almost about to pass out when I walked in my home. I searched around for someone that would be able to make it out and repair the unit. It is difficult these days to find someone who is open, honest, and does quality work. Called Juan, and from the start, was open to listening to my description, provided information that helped me brace for cost, and in the end, he came down, had a great conversation and he showed me where the problem was, and provided not only quality work, but at a great and reasonable price. I highly recommend anyone to contact him. He's hard working, cares for others and is well knowledgable about the work he does. Before he came to my house, he was on another call, and he treated them like a family, considering his own in how he made his overall assessment. He did the same for me. I think its safe to say, J&I provide quality work at a reasonable price, and don't see you as just money, rather, he sees an opportunity to utilize his knowledge and skills to help others, in order to make an honest living to support his own family.

Had a problem with air shuttin down. Tech was here in 15 minutes. It was SCE shutting air off. Working fine now and I wasn't charged a fee. Outstanding service, I will always call them in the future.

There was a leak in one of my AC units. Juan was prompt, professional, knowledgeable, and most of all, very friendly. He was able to repair the leaking pipe and educated us on how to buy and replace the filters. Despite the miserable heat in the attic, Juan was very calm and remained pleasant. These days, people are quick to complain. I, for one, am grateful and very pleased with Juan's exceptional service. Thank you again!
