I found Paul through the Thumbtack app after struggling to find an attorney within my budget. Every other attorney I contacted wanted a minimum of $2,000 or more, and that didn’t even include filing fees or required online courses.
From the very beginning, Paul stood out. He was extremely communicative by phone, email, and text, and always kept me up to date on all legal information, important dates, deadlines, and next steps. He explained everything clearly and in a way we could actually understand — no confusing courtroom jargon or legal verbiage, just straightforward and honest communication.
One of the biggest things Paul gave us was peace of mind. At the time we hired him, we were dealing with well over $125,000 in non-secured debt, and the stress had become completely overwhelming and unmanageable. We do not own a home, we rent an apartment, and we have one vehicle that we were able to keep and did not have to include in the case. Paul helped us understand our situation clearly and guided us through every decision with calm, confidence, and reassurance.
Paul was very transparent and extremely reasonable with his pricing, and he never once pressured me about payment or timelines. He made us feel comfortable from day one. Honestly, the only thing I wish is that we had found him sooner. The stress and anxiety we carried for far longer than we should have could have been avoided if we had connected with him earlier. It was scary and demoralizing to surrender to bankruptcy but Paul took ALL of the bumps out of the road. First by charging the best rate possible. I was nervous that paying less might bite me later but that was just the opposite. Paul has a complete system in place that makes the bankruptcy process flow seamlessly. Dare I say he made it easy? Yes. And most of all he ALWAYS responded to every single text or email I sent him within minutes or a few hours, even on weekends!!! Never charging me extra for his time answering my questions. My experience was awesome. Paul C. Nguyen was my attorney and he was on top of everything. When I was procrastinating he was consistently emailing for the information to get my bankruptcy going. He would respond back immediately whenever I had questions. He did a great job. I hope I never have to file again but if I do I would definitely use him again.
