Chris is a wonderful guitar teacher who has the experience and patience to help you feel comfortable and capable to learn how to play the guitar!
I hadn't played the guitar in a very long time and only played classical guitar when I was younger, so now in my 40s and learning to play chords, I was a bit nervous - but Chris is really great at putting you at ease and giving you the confidence that you can do this and giving you the right tools to help you get there. Also, I really like the virtual classes because I can always look back at the videos and pause/rewind to check finger placements/strumming, etc. It truly helps with the learning process!

Chris is the man!!! He works so well with my 12 year old son. I was skeptical with an online teacher and my son actually staying interested. I was totally convinced after my son’s first lesson that Chris was the perfect fit. He has similar taste in my son’s music and he is teaching him that type of music which truly gets him locked in to learning. Chris also provides weekly videos of their sessions for my son to practice with during the week. It’s a great tool. He also taught him finger exercises so he can work the frets and strings more comfortably. If you are looking for a down-to-earth professional with a true knack for teaching, Chris is by far the best.

Chris is an excellent teacher. I signed my husband up for lessons about a month ago, and can't believe how well he is playing already. I am so impressed with how Chris took my husband's interests and goals and created the perfect lesson plan for him. I'm so impressed he's doing all of this virtually too! From Utah to California, thank you, thank you!

Chris started working with my daughter about two weeks ago. My daughter had never played guitar before and was struggling with the basics in her beginning guitar class at school (she has Asperger Syndrome and struggles with sensory issues and basic coordination). From our first communications, I could tell he was going to be a good fit. He asked a million questions and spent a lot of time communicating with me before he even showed up to my front door. Once he got to the first lesson, he was totally prepared. The hour was money well spent and I immediately booked him on a weekly basis. He is probably one of the most positive, supportive, compassionate people that I have ever met and, he has the patience of a saint! He spent an extra half hour, at no charge, teaching my daughter how to restring her guitar after their lesson was over (he even offered to pick the stings up for me the week before - now that’s customer service!). This man really loves what he does and it shows. He is a talented teacher/musician and if you are lucky enough to pick up an hour lesson with him, you will not be disappointed! He. Is. Awesome.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My prices are negotiable. Ultimately, if you have your own guitar the prices are lower. If you don't and you borrow mine, then the price goes up a little more. Not because I'm greedy but because I have to care for the guitar
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Hopefully I'll have an understanding of where the customer is in their guitar playing. Once I know that I can set up a lesson plan based on their wants.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been playing for 30 years. I've been in many bands and have toured the US and Europe. I know how to read guitar tab
