Ethan with Cal West Air Conditioning was outstanding! I highly recommend him for any HVAC needs. He went above and beyond to help me find the best deal and the right option for my AC package unit in Palm Springs, CA. He took the time to clearly explain the pros and benefits of each option, which made the decision process easy and stress-free.
There was also an issue with an existing duct line, and Ethan documented everything with photos and videos so I could fully understand what needed to be repaired. He provided a very fair price for his crew to fix it as well.
He made the entire AC replacement process incredibly smooth! I truly can’t thank him enough. He even handled all the city and HOA permits, which was originally my responsibility.

It was a wonderful experience! The technician notified me that he was on his way and gave me an approximate arrival time. When he arrived he immediately started working on my AC unit. He completed his work in a very timely fashion. explained what work was completed on my AC unit. In addition, he also explained that they provided other services such as water heater flushes, and other works. This was a great experience and I will definitely be using Thompson AC again for my future AC needs as well as any other plumbing needs that may be needed in the future. Thank you Andrew Marshall

Crew arrived a little early and called to ask if it was okay to get started! Very timely and professional service. Thanks to Joe and Peter for helping clean our air ducts and dryer vent. Took pictures to show us what the vents looked like prior to service. Everything looks great. Confident if there are any issues they will be ready and willing to help us with great customer service.

Ethan is one of the most knowledgeable AC guys I have ever met. The blower fan motor on my AC blew on a 17-year-old Lennox two-stage system, and Ethan the same day priced out a few different alternatives. Decided to go with one manufacturer on Thursday, but changed my mind the very next day to upgrade to a Trane variable speed. Ethan managed to swap the order and begin the installation on Monday!
The price was VERY fair and beat out equivalent bids for complete variable systems by Lennox and Trane by a significant margin.
The installation crew were courteous, capable, and very accommodating to a few special requests I had, and when they left, the garage was cleaner than when they had started.

I wanted to have my air vents and ductwork cleaned and vacuumed before I used my evaporator cooler for the first time this week. I found Thompson AC on Thumbtack with 5 star reviews and contacted them for the work. Received excellent service from a great team who made my home free from the fine dust after the wind storms we’ve had. Now I can breathe much better and know that I will use them again to add a duct to my son’s room shortly. Again, excellent service!

We at Thomson AC offer competitive pricing, and are willing to work with our customers budgets through creative ways to save money.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We typically need a full name, address, phone number and email to create an account and book an appointment. Our dispatching software sends a confirmation text and email that the appointment has booked, and allows for technician tracking to ensure you know where your technician is and how long it will be until they arrive at your location.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our technicians are properly trained and certified to complete work in a safe manner. We perform background checks and vigorous interviews on each and every employee that we hire, and we have internal training meetings once per week.
