Private Yoga Instruction
Elizabeth is lovely woman who is well educated & trained in yoga! I am a beginner in yoga and Elizabeth made me feel very comfortable in starting out. She was very accommodating with availability and responded right away! Elizabeth takes her expertise and makes the experience based on your needs and what you’re looking to gain/learn/feel from it! She was very patient with teaching me and she really took the time to ensure I was doing everything correctly to really benefit from it. Every session was unique and I felt the progress! I always left the sessions feeling wonderful & accomplished! I would HIGHLY recommend doing yoga with Elizabeth (:Mar 26, 2018Verified
My experience with Elizabeth was outstanding. I have never had a yoga practitioner with so much intuition as to where my body needed work. After an hour of Elizabeth guiding me I was able to stretch myself further than I ever thought I could go and while intense and disciplined the session left me gratified and confident of my abilities going forward. The best yoga experience of my life hands down.Nov 18, 2019
I loved my private yoga sessions with Liz. She was attentive and listened to issues I had going on with my body. I have several injuries and some chronic pain that I deal with, and she was very mindful in helping me with that. She was sincere in her teaching and I could tell she cared about progression in my practice. Great at tailoring a flow specifically for me.Nov 14, 2019
Liz is one of those uncommonly talented teachers who can guide you thoughtfully through the myriad of paths into yoga. Does the vector of your practice lead you towards recovery and rehabilitation? She's got you. Do you want to access the advanced proprioceptive intelligence native to your body? Give her a shot- Or maybe you just want to see how the practice of yoga can support your mental health, mood, attention etc.... She's practiced and studied this approach as well. If you decide to work with Liz- you will find her skillset is dramatically different from the boutique fitness "yoga" instructors common to the field; but also more adept, practiced, and technical than those purely spiritualist interpreters whose lofty proclamations of philosophical wisdom don't stand up to the down in the dirt pragmatic knowledge of alignment and anatomy. If you want someone intelligence, thoughtful, and serious who will lead you through the corpus of yoga to find how the entirety of the system will benefit you in a realistic and efficacious manner- definitely give her a shot. You won't be disappointed.Nov 13, 2019
I have worked with Liz in both individual and group settings for over a year. Although I have practiced yoga for some time in both the US and Russia, I still consider myself a novice even though I am 51 years old. Liz is one of the best instructors that I have encountered. She has the ability to assess limits and potential and helps the student to understand and work within both. She is provides a vast range of instruction that is thoughtfully and carefully designed to help students of all abilities to build strength, flexibility, and confidence. She uses props (blankets, blocks, belts) to help students realize the benefits of a specific pose. I am never bored with her instruction and come away challenged, refreshed, and rejuvenated. I, like many yoga students measure progress in terms of change - both physical and emotional. Working with Liz, I have seen a concrete development in both my practice and my approach to the practice. I highly recommend.Nov 14, 2019
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? If a customer is willing to commit to multiple sessions a week, a discount can be discussed.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Whenever I begin with a new client, the initial session is used to make an assessment of their various physical circumstances. From then on, the sessions are designed around both my observations and feedback from clients. The physical body is not the only point of interest. What people do for work, their energetic/emotional state, breath patterns etc. all play a key role in how I teach. No two clients are taught the same way.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have done multiple teacher trainings, as well as continuing education courses. Beyond that, I work closely with my mentor and who has been teaching for over 40 years. The education never stops.
