Hi, my name is Kathy. I have been an ESL teacher for over 15 years. I have earned my master’s degree in education, English as a Second Language, from university of Alabama at Birmingham. I have worked in variety of classes all with a high majority of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, ethnic, and academic background. I have experienced teaching kids, adults, students, and business professionals in different settings. I have worked with children of all ages and various nationalities in both online and face-to-face settings. I was an English teacher and mentor at university of Alabama, Birmingham for over three semesters. I taught TOEFL courses at Samford university to undergraduate students planning to enter graduate programs. I was a volunteer teacher at Literacy Council of Central Alabama in Birmingham where I designed and created materials and lesson plans to cater for the needs of adult learners who had basic English proficiency. I have 10 years of experience teaching overseas. I taught English to business professionals in China, Brazil, Taiwan, Japan, and France.
