I had an incredible session with Hugh today. Very professional, but made me feel very relaxed. I needed a head shot for my new business venture. He has two places in OC, The shoot took about an hour and a half, as I asked for a couple of tie changes, etc. He was very supportive, and was the first photographer in a long time that asked my input on the product rather than just telling me what he thought was best. He was on time, went way beyond my expectations, and I am already in the process of recommending him. He gave me a very realistic time line on when I can expect the digital results. All in all - couldn't have gone better! Highly recommend.

My new employer wanted a professional photo of me with certain defined specs in less than 7 days. Hugh quoted the project, had samples on his site that fit the specs, and committed to getting it done in time. We met for around 50 minutes during which he used around 5 different backdrops and took hundreds of photos, sent me a selection of them, I picked half a dozen, which he cleaned up and forwarded, then we got it down to 3 finalist that he finished professionally within the deadline. Great job and good service.!

Hugh was amazing to work with from prepping for the event until after the event. He was professional, friendly and super helpful. He was able to bring along a friend who was equally as great. The guests at the event loved both of them and inquired about who the photographers were after the event! And of course we were more than happy with the quality of the photos! Great work!!

Hired on Thumbtack
Hugh is a great guy, a real pro photographer, easy to work with, and creative at a thumbtack competitive rate. I'm a Realtor and have worked with other photographers before. Set a time to meet and he even scouted the area beforehand for multiple locations ready to shoot; and spent a lot of time with us too. Offered a proof sheet, we picked out favorite photos, and he retouched the photos and delivered with a fast turnaround. Will use him again.

Hugh Foster, Professional Photographer.
Special Event Photographer
The 1st b day is very important to Koreans.
I'm going to have to update this post later because there are so many excellent points I'd like to make about Hugh Foster. He is a premier photographer who is extremely talented and versatile. His forte is portraiture and we hired him to make our daughter's first birthday party extra special.
Photos are one of the best ways to memorialize those special moments. Memories fade and years from now, my daughter who won't remember her actual birthday, will be able to look back and be reminded of how very special she is to us.
Hugh captured moments that only a patient and experienced photographer knowledgeable in the craft is able.
We believe in health and fitness and so does Hugh. He has a positive energy, a professional attitude, and his demeanor is friendly. My guests and their many children were impressed with the way he interacted with everyone.
He is PATIENT.
Hugh waited for the right shots and knew when to take the picture. He snapped away and was able to walk away with several shots more than expected. He also captured moments of our friends’ children that I am going to have printed on high grade photo paper from a photo lab and send to them. These photos are frame worthy and artistic as far as the talented eye goes.
He is PUNCTUAL.
Hugh was right on time. Hugh arrived early for the event, scoped it out and did the same for our second venue. After the party we went to the Great Park with the big orange balloon and hangar and carousel. We had a blast taking photos. His set up and professional lighting made shots in difficult weather come out perfectly.
He is PROFESSIONAL.
The turnaround time for our photos was prompt and ahead of schedule. After the event, a professional has to go over the multitude of shots, and retouch them or use photoshop to clean up shots, crop, etc. Hugh knows how to efficiently work through to make sure it’s done.
He had all the right EQUIPMENT.
Hugh brought long and short lenses, two cameras, flash and lighting equipment, and a other professional equipment needed to get the shot.
For those who know what it means to invest money in a photographer know that lighting is everything.
Hugh knows what to do in bright sunshine, in the shade, and even knows how to make shadows work for the composition of the photo.
I’m going to hire him again for sure. I also want to go to him for head shots.
If Hugh has responded to your job post, then you need to book him immediately or you may miss out on a chance to hire him.
He’s the One!
