I’ve been doing makeup and hair for over 40 years. I have experience in film, TV, videos, photography, HD, weddings, corporate headshots, model’s portfolio, special occasions, birthdays, proms, red carpet, celebrities and the list goes on and on.

Stop looking for a make up/hair artist all you need is Doris. Look at her own webpage & you will see how impressive her clientele list is & the amazing work she does
This is the first review I have ever written but I was compelled by the exceptional work that Doris did. She exceeded all my expectations. She was amazing from start to finish. I’m 62 & I looked 40 in the pictures of my son’s wedding. Everyone complimented me telling me how beautiful I was. The photos were just stunning
I definitely recommend a trial session for the make up & hair. She pin points any skin or hair issues like my dry skin & bags under my eyes. She recommended products & I was able to rectify the problems that which made my final makeup look flawless. I couldn’t see a single wrinkle.
Doris also did my hair & it came out as beautiful as my makeup
Most importantly the pictures came out amazing which was my greatest concern because I recently found out I might have cancer & I wanted a picture with each of my 3 sons just in case.
She really went the extra mile for me. I would hire her again & make all my friends & family hire her also.

Doris was extremely professional. Prepared and super supportive and respectful to all the women getting their makeup done the day of my wedding. She was very receptive to feedback and changes that I wanted made from our initial makeup trial. My makeup lasted all day and I’m so grateful I used her.

If I could give her 10 stars, I would! I've never had hair/makeup done before, so I didn't really know what to expect...but she blew me away. I actually felt and looked beautiful for my niece's wedding! She was also super responsive via Thumbtack, and I'm so grateful she was available when I needed her. She was so worth the fee, and I will be using her again for a wedding I'll be attending in November. I wish I could have her do my makeup every day!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do offer discounts for larger groups of people.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I really like to get to know my customer before I start. I really want to know what is their comfort level. How do they normally wear their makeup. It's great they provide a picture so I know what they're looking for, but I really want to know what their makeup experiences is. For an example you may see a dress in a magazine you like and you want that dress, but perhaps when you buy the dress, it doesn't look the same and you're not happy. The reason for that is because the dress color may not look best on you or the dress is suited better for the model and perhaps your body type is different and it doesn't look the same. So that's the same for makeup as well. I like to modify makeup if I feel the customer needs it. I'm pretty intuitive with people that I work with. I can almost guarantee how much or how little I need to adjust the makeup to please the customer.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As I mentioned before I did go to modeling school and after modeling school I went to makeup school in Toronto where I'm from and graduated with the highest honor of the school. I studied mostly fashion and print makeup. Then I moved to Hollywood and studied more for film, TV, special effects, corrective makeup, ethnic makeup and you name it I learned it. I won best makeup artist my school year. Then years later I decide to learn airbrush makeup. I studied for that in Costa Mesa.
