I am a former student of Paul. He is very professional and knowledgeable. I had a great experience learning how to play piano as a beginner. I have had other teachers in the past who did not have such an effective and approach.Jul 29, 2013
Paul is as good as it gets when it comes to teaching and playing the piano. His mastery of music concepts and ability to simplify them for his students makes learning fun. As a musician and collaborator, I highly recommend his studio if you're looking for piano lessons in virtually any style!Jul 16, 2013
Paul has helped me to focus on better technique which I never had during my first year learning the piano with other teachers. He is very patient, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. He is a perfect teacher for adults or children. If possible I would love to have lessons with Paul many years ...Jun 25, 2013
I have been taking lessons from Paul Burd for 4 years now and I have truly loved it. Paul is knowledgeable and insightful as a teacher; he is patient when he needs to be and also knows when to push you forward. On top of that, his method of teaching both classical and jazz/pop at the same time makes lessons fun, diverse and never dull. In short, I highly recommend studying piano with Paul. In the past 4 years I have learned not only a lot of new techniques, but also a lot of new styles. Paul has a firm grasp on the stylistic differences between pieces and can convey these ably. My repertoire continues to grow with exciting and entertaining music thanks, Paul!Sep 18, 2012The Music Lessons Studio by Paul Burd's reply
Thank you, Jon. Could you just print, sign and bring it with you next time. Paul
I was taking piano lessons for about two years when I was 8 and then it became boring for me and I quit. Now, as an adult, I got a strong desire to be able to play piano and improvise. My friends, whose children were taking piano lessons for awhile, recommended their teacher Paul Burd. I was impressed and decided to start lessons with Paul. In the beginning it was hard for me and only patience and understanding of Paul stopped me from quitting again. I love his simple approach which makes difficult concepts easy to understand and I wish I had Paul as my teacher when I was young. Though my schedule is busy I find time to practice piano every day and I really love my progress. Thanks Paul for your support.Jul 26, 2013
- What types of customers have you worked with?I teach piano, keyboard and accordion to children abd adults. My mission as a piano teacher is to share the love of music and the piano with my students. I aim to provide all of my students with the ability not only to read and regurgitate the music they see on the page, but to understand it in depth, and to create the music within. In our piano lessons each student will fully engage his creative and artistic faculties, and in doing so will find the greatest satisfaction and enjoyment. I love to teach and interact with each individual student to learn what makes them unique and I tailor my teaching to fit each students strengths and weaknesses.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?I have finished the new version of my website and I did it all by myself. All my students really liked it. I hope that all the people who will visit my profile on thumbtack will benefit of it. There's lots of different information in it for students to work on developing their skills.
