Introduction: I have over 30 years of professional experience as both a player and instructor, and have been a member of countless bands and ensembles of all sizes and musical styles. My students consider me to be a strong communicator which is a big advantage, because it's one thing to have experience and knowledge, but it's equally important to be able to share that info effectively. I enjoy witnessing the growth of each student and seeing key concepts "click in." We play music - it's creative, it's mentally stimulating and physically challenging, it's entertaining, and it's fun. What could be better than that?

Randy is the best drumming teacher I've ever had. He has loads of experience and great suggestions for whatever questions / problems you throw at him. Also just a really nice guy who cares.

Over the years I've had many drum instructors, but Randy is the only one that I've stayed with. He is top notch and I can't recommend him enough whether you're a beginner or experienced player. Randy's expertise is in jazz, but he can play and teach any genre including latin, rock, and afro cuban. I can ask him for guidance on how to approach any song and he'll help me with both technical and conceptual ideas. His support has helped me become a more confident and musical drummer.

Randy is a fantastic teacher. He encourages creativity and inspires you to think for yourself while playing. He is knowledgeable in various styles such as jazz, Latin, Afro-Cuban, and rock. Definitely recommend to anyone who is either starting out or to someone who is already proficient yet wants to dive deeper into drumming.
