How can I say enough about Aaron Gilmartin's ability as a guitar teacher? When I came to him for lessons, I literally had to learn parts for a tour with a band in Europe, and I had barely ever picked up a guitar! With clear explanations, great practice ideas, and encouragement, he got me over my fear of playing in public. Listen to his advice, and you too will be playing guitar in no time. I can't recommend him highly enough.

The Happiness Band played our company holiday event a few days ago and they were GREAT! From the very beginning we received compliments from our tenants and co-workers about the band. They played a mix of Christmas music, pop, rock, and even took requests. Our event was a success due to their wonderful stage presence and great talent. I highly recommend The Happiness Band. Bob, the band's contact, was very professional, timely, immediately replied to my emails/phone calls, and made our event planning so much easier. Great band!

I have been taking guitar lessons from Kimberly via Skype for about six years. I really like her teaching style which is systematic and focused. She tailors her lessons to my goals and time. Her teaching method is to help you gain insight and skill through patient practice of gradually changing exercises. She doesn't snow you with theory, but presents it to you in digestible amounts just when it will make sense. She welcomes questions and I always learn from our discussions. She has led me to learn techniques on the guitar that I was absolutely sure I could never learn. For something to seem impossible at the start, to seem possible a week later and to be routine a month later is amazingly uplifting. Kimberly's background was first a life of teaching herself and playing gigs with all kinds of bands in all kinds of places. She has also deepened and strengthened her knowledge by gaining academic degrees in guitar and jazz and also by studying under masters. This gives her an incredibly deep understanding of learning and teaching music, an immense skill in playing guitar, and an appreciation for the challenges of playing with other people. I especially love her continued enthusiasm for guitar and that she really enjoys teaching. I have found in Kimberly the best of teachers and highly recommend her without reservation.

We commissioned Nova Mariee to perform with her band during our the dinner portion of our wedding reception and glad that we did! We asked to to perform a playlist of song that we wanted to hear live. From the initial contact to the day of the event it, the communication was outstanding. The performance was loved by all our guests, would love to work and refer Nova Mariee anytime! Amazing voice and band!

Dave's band "Pretzel Logic" played our wedding and went so far beyond our expectations! They are a Steely Dan cover band and we already knew they'd be great at the Steely covers we had seen them execute in club gigs. But where they really rose to the occasion for us was the non-Steely tracks that we requested for our wedding reception. They learned a handful of songs just for us and they absolutely executed each one with perfect precision! Our guests were floored and we got nothing but great feedback from everyone.

My son started formal drum lessons with Steve two and a half years ago. Steve set the bar on professionalism, flexibility, communication, and has the patience to teach music to younger kids. My son went from a kid banging on a toy drum, to a musician that could play drum set rhythms in an elementary school jazz band. We've had other instructors since Steve left the Los Alamitos area but none of them compared to his high level of attributes listed earlier.

They were fantastic! The other reviews were right; Louise and the band were very talented, and had everyone dancing and singing all night. They will play the songs you like, and they know so many of them. Very fun band... You will not be disappointed!

A bit about myself, before I delve into praise for Chloe Pourmorady; I am a jazz musician and co-frontwoman of the LA band The B's and The Honey. We perform an eclectic melange of French, German and American Jazz, Soul and Rock music with a variety of performers trained at the Berklee College of Music and Loyola Marymount University. I first met Chloe while we were both students of classical music at Loyola Marymount, and was immediately impressed by her intensity and the joy with which she approaches her relationship to music. Since graduating, I have invited Chloe to perform with The B's and The Honey, as well as collaborated with her on several original songs, performed with her own musical collective, Melanchloé. Chloe Pourmorady creates musical ideas like most people walk with one foot in front of the other. Her upbringing as a child of Persian refugees has undoubtedly influenced her musical language, though her passion for expanding and deepening that vocabulary extends from her youthful experiments with electropunk songwriting, to her rigorous study of classical violin, to her exploration of Eastern European and Romani Folk music. Both as a teacher and a performer, Chloe is constantly pushing herself to communicate musical ideas with artful intention, and this detication makes her an asset to whatever endeavor she to which she chooses to lend her talents.

LAPC is the most inspiring place to write and record music. Other studios are kind of this sterile atmosphere with no personality and bragging all over the walla but LAPC has charm and ambiance. Plenty of chairs to sit in, plenty of equipment to mess around with and a man who is one in a million as the studios producer. Do yourself and your art a favor and record here with James.

Mischief made my event. We had a dance floor and the band kept it full all evening long. They had great groove, had varied song list. Marlena not only has great voice - truly star quality - but was amazingly varied in style for music she sang and she certainly kept the guys attention. If she wasn't so nice I would hate her :-) the lead guitar player clear knows his craft - his solos were crazy good and fantastic job singing. Harmony amount the members was impressive often in 4 parts! They showed up on time, were professional, interacted very well with my friends, and put on an amazing show in addition to the amazing sound. I would definitely hire them again!

About

Mourn The Martyr is a rock band from Calabasas, CA. We have original music and covers. We do acoustic performances.

About

With their debut album receiving notable acclaim, this acoustic quintet is already making waves as one of the few true crossover bluegrass bands. Recent main stage performances at the Northwest String Summit, Mateel Summer Arts Festival, and Topanga Banjo Fiddle Contest have cemented Hot October as a SoCal favorite as they prepare for their 2018 tour.    While it might not be that uncommon for a bluegrass band to have all five musicians singing in harmony, what sets this group apart is the clear and apparent virtuosity of each individual working towards the greater composition. Lead vocals, traded by Paul Fuller (Banjo) and Jesse Olema (Fiddle), are supported by a masterful rhythm section. Craig Ferguson (Mandolin & Dobro),  Sasha Birrittella (Guitar), and David Tranchina (Upright Bass) work together seamlessly creating a deep rooted pocket while trading sweeping, flat-picked lines for David’s unmatched bowed solos. Yes, the groups collective improvisations are something to be marveled at, but what is most exciting is seeing where the new generation of bluegrass music is headed, and looking at what Hot October is bringing to the table, let's just say that it's a very exciting time to be a bluegrass fan.

Hello! Are you ready to have a great party, wedding or event? I am the lead DJ from Complete Music-Great Event DJ with a large selection of music from all different styles. Lights and MC services are included. I am very good at reading the guests and getting them involved and having a great time if desired. I have toured the world as a drummer and love to DJ bringing life to the party, or whatever is desired for a great event! "DJ Paul did an awesome job! He kept everyone dancing, and it made our day a breeze! We had a blast. Thanks, Paul!" - Zachary and Katrina Robinson "Overall, the entire wedding was a blast. Thanks to Paul! I would definitely invite him back!" - Nicole Hicks "I just had to let you know that at our age, we have been to many weddings and other functions that had a DJ, but you are tops of them all! You were great, and you kept the young and old hopping. They all didn't want the music to end. You are a terrific DJ and MC." - Marlene Silva, grandmother of the bride ===================================== ALSO - You are invited to a '70s disco show and party with The Bootie Shakers, a rocking '70s disco dance band! Come "boogie down!" The Bootie Shakers are among the hottest '70s disco bands around. The band is perfect for parties, weddings, clubs, fairs, festivals and a great time, anytime! Everyone is talking about The Bootie Shakers! Founded in the spring of '96 in North Hollywood, California, guitarist Paul Maselli (former drummer of Dread Zeppelin) wanted to bring you a live '70s tribute dance band that rocks with strong audience interaction. The Bootie Shakers are fast becoming known as the best '70s era disco dance band from California, and now also on The east coast in Florida. They will travel to your event. Maselli has exchanged his drumming and rhythm talents to become the hard-driving guitarist for this rocking '70s disco band. To see and hear The Bootie Shakers perform live is to transport oneself back in time twenty years to the heyday of the disco dance era when music was fun, sexy and always a fantastically entertaining party. To attend a Bootie Shakers show is to have the time of your life. It's hard to believe that all this sound is generated from only four musicians on stage covering all musical and vocal parts and playing authentic '70s music from an era where many bands at that time had ten or more players. Seeing and hearing is believing and awe inspiring. The Bootie Shakers are the last words in live '70s disco dance entertainment! Remember songs such as LaFreak, Boogieman, Night Fever, YMCA, Ladie's Night, We Are Family, You Should Be Dancing, Boogie Oogie Oogie, Superfreak, Celebration, Get Down Tonight, Play That Funky Music, That's The Way, Disco Inferno, Good Times, Funkytown, Dazz, Shake Your Bootie, Brick House, Car Wash, Stayin' Alive, and more! Sincerely, Paul Maselli
