Eddie and his employees were awesome from start to finish it only took 2 1/2 days to complete they also did drip system to water plants on timer. Cut down 2 trees in back yard trimmed 2 large trees took out 2 smaller trees, hauled away a jacuzzi and a very large dog house. They cleaned up after everything and the prices were affordable. I highly recommend them.

Jose came to the property and assessed. He was not intimidated by a most unruly weed situation, including a much in need of repair irrigation drip system. The front and rear yards are large. I am talking about no easy task. Once I accepted his reasonable estimate, he began the job. He knew what needed to be done, and he did it. I am very satisfied. This is going to be an ongoing effort and hopefully a lasting relationship. It is most difficult to find a gardener of this degree of knowledge and commitment Most anyone can walk behind a mower and command a weed walker. Jose’s Community Landscaping is so much more. Thanks, Thumbtack. Mac Caruso

I wanted a drip system to replace my sprayer system for my lawn. Francisco came out the same day, gave a great quote, was always on-time, and finished the job without issue or changes.

Fabulous work! Re-landscaped our front yard with 2 trees, rock with drought resistant plants, and sod. Installed water saving sprinkler system. Great person to work with. Listens to you and your ideas. Has a great team of men working with him with good attitudes. On time. Very reasonable price of job compared to numerous bids we had received. I will continue working with him for yard maintenance.

I couldn't be happier with my experience with Tom and Camarena Landscapes. Every part of the process was professional and pleasurable. My job was very small - create a drip irrigation system in two large raised beds. Notwithstanding, for the estimate Tom arrived precisely at the agreed upon time, explained exactly what needed to be done, and emailed me an estimate that same afternoon. We communicated back and forth via text and phone to discuss a few particulars, and when I asked Tom to include 2 additional deliverables in his original bid price, he gladly agreed. While the other landscapers who had bid said they would do the job alone, Tom brought two of his men and the job went quickly and painlessly. The work was executed flawlessly and with great creativity. For my next landscaping project I would unquestionably work with Tom Camarena again, and I give him my highest recommendation.

The job was to update and upgrade entire sprinkler system front and back yards. Kyle is knowledgeable, polite, respectful. The sprinklers are the latest, most efficient use of watering possible for our LA drought times. Because he did such a great job and garnered our trust, we hired him to tackle another project - to install low-voltage landscape lighting system. We bought the path lights and Kyle arranged and installed all the other equipment and cable. The lights turn on at dust everyday, automatically and shut off around midnight. This is a great security measure, but we enjoy the beautiful result immensely. I would recommend Kyle to anyone and would have him back again should we need sprinklers or landscape lighting.

David installed a drip irrigation system in my yard. First of all I was greatly impressed by his quick response to my request and his ability to give me an estimate the very same day. He completed the job 5 days later. He arrived at the agreed upon time and did an excellent job of installing the system. He was extremely professional providing me with a written contract of exactly what he was going to do. Overall, a great experience. I would highly recommend him.

I hired Mr. Freeman to repair the drainage system in the back yard, plant deer-resistant and drought resistant plants, repair the irrigation system, and install lighting in the yard. The work was in progress for about 1-1/2 months, which was appropriate for the amount of work. I was pleased that at the start of the job Mr. Freeman wrote up a detailed contract for the work to be done and the line item costs for my approval. During the job, I made some changes to the work to be done, and Mr. Freeman wrote the change order so both work and cost changes were in writing and agreed upon. He kept me informed of the progress of the work, informed me in advance when he would be on the property, and arrived on schedule. In addition, Mr. Freeman gave me a lot of advice about fertilizing plants, time schedules for running the sprinklers, how to repot plants, and more. He works with a horticulture expert who advised me on appropriate plants for the various locations in the yard and plants that deer do not like to eat, do not require a lot of water, and do attract birds and butterflies. The work done was excellent quality - both the materials used and the workmanship in repairs and plantings. In summary, Mr Freeman fulfilled the contract with regard to work and costs. The work was completed in a timely manner with the agreed-upon costs, I was pleased with the way he and his staff did the work, and I'm pleased with the results.

I really dreaded trying to get my sprinkler system in shape AGAIN, as I had had a couple of people come to look at it and do various things that did not work, besides one person who just did not show up the 3 appointments I made with him. I am now so glad that I did try one more time, and this time I am most happy with the experience with Greenscape Irrigation. All options were explained, including time frame to complete and pricing, which was most reasonable. Everything was done to my satisfaction and the service could not have been better.

I could not be more pleased with my experience with Deborah Enders at True Garden. Several months prior to meeting her, I had had all the grass removed from my front yard, and had been living with dirt and weeds. I was completely daunted and frustrated with the task of figuring out what to do with the blank canvas. I’d had quite a few meetings with other prospective landscape designers (whom I quickly ruled out), but when I met Deborah, I knew I’d found the right person for the job! What truly struck a chord with me was Deb’s ability to really listen to what I wanted and needed, and to then contribute to the overall vision with her own unique spin and amazing aesthetic sense. I’m a minimalist at heart, and she understood that – and was able to somehow express my personality in my yard! She also optimized my irrigation system for the new design, then implemented everything in time for an event I was hosting at my house, which was incredibly thoughtful. Besides all that, she was a pleasure to work and communicate with – professional, conscientious, on-time, knowledgeable and inspiring! Owning a house has made me realize what rare gems people like Deborah are, so I’m so glad to have found her. And I look forward to working with her again, once I’m ready to tackle my back yard!

When I called Raul, I was losing my trees because the watering system I had was outdated and needed to be corrected with a new drip system and sprinkler repairs. Raul charged me for time and materials and used what he could of what I had so I didn't have to start from scratch. By utilizing what was existing and upgrading with new effective drips and connecting all of the systems to an automated program my trees and flowers are now looking great. Raul was pleasant to work with and I am happy to recommend him.

I've worked with Mike at Premier Tree and Landscape on many projects, such as sod removal and installation, hillside brush clearance, pergola construction, fence replacement, hillside stabilization, retaining walls, tree trimming and removal, new irrigation systems, and complete install of new landscapes for houses. Mike is always professional, hard working, and charges a fair amount for his work. He has excellent ideas for landscape design, plant selection, and ways to keep costs down if necessary. I highly recommend Premier Tree and Landscape.

Working with Brandon and his Dream Green crew was an absolute dream! The entire process was seamless from beginning to end. Brandon is the utmost professional and his 20 plus years in the business was evident. I met with numerous landscapers and he was the only one who was able to give me a quote and write up a proposal at our first meeting, without all the back and forth I experienced with the others. (This was crucial as I had a deadline to meet in order to qualify for the DWP rebate.) He is extremely knowledgeable. He knew the specifics about every tree and plant we looked at in the nursery. He patiently guided me to what would best fit my vision. He was always available to answer any questions. Each day he and his crew arrived on time and made good use of the time he allotted for the job. At the end of each day he made sure everything was clean and in order. In addition to removing grass and planting, he also installed a timer and drip irrigation. He did a fabulous job in a timely manner at a more than fair price. I have dealt with numerous contractors over the years in the Midwest, Southeast and on the West Coast and I can honestly say this was the best experience I have ever had in dealing with a contractor. And to top it off, my front yard is more beautiful than I ever imagined it would be!

We contracted with Williams Landscaping for our front yard makeover. We interviewed three landscaping companies and selected Scott because of his vision for implementing what we wanted, his professionalism to get things done as per our timetable, the cost of his proposal, and his recommendation from Armstrong Nursery. They did the "demo" of our existing landscaping in two hours including having to pull out a pretty large palm tree with a strong root system. Scott helped us select and arrange for delivery the flagstones for our walls. And was thorough and professional putting in our plants, the walls, and the drip irrigation. Scott followed up with me a week later to ensure everything was working (irrigation) and that we were satisfied. There was one isolated section of irrigation that needs to be adjusted and we have made plans to get that taken care of. The bottom line is that we recommend Williams Landscaping to anyone else.

We had a great experience with Alvaro and his team. They were very professional, on time, thorough, and reasonably priced. They installed a drip irrigation system, cleared our front lawn and installed new sod, trimmed trees, and cleared brush. They did a great job and will definitely use them for future maintenance.

After being approved for our turf removal rebate to redo our back yard, I needed to find a knowledgeable landscape designer. I first spoke with a woman, who couldn't give me the time of day. Then we found Motti Buskila. He came over within days, suggested exactly what we wanted, designed and installed a beautiful yard within our time frame. The completed job took only 3-4 days, including prep and installation of the planted areas, drip water system, bark, stones, DG, brick and they even trimmed my ivy wall. Aside from doing fabulous work, on time, as promised, Motti will walk you thru it and talk to you. Not like the woman I first called.

I got several quotes from several companies. Some of the others would probably be considered more "professional," with better knowledge of the specific plants I had in mind, or a long-term ecosystem-style approach to planning, or detailed formal top-down landscape architecture designs. But Sunset Gardens gave me one of the most competitive bids, and they were by far the best communicators. I have a large front yard and an even larger back yard. I needed a huge planter full of dead plants removed, the remains of front and back lawns removed and replaced with mulch, four or five trees planted, a variety of drought-tolerant shrubs and flowers added, some tree-trimming, front and back pathways or sidewalks added, and a drip-line irrigation system installed to replace the old "spray as much water into the air as possible" sprinkler system. One company took a few days to get me a bid and wanted $10k for the project (not including the pathways, which I hadn't figured out I wanted yet), but did not listen to any of my specific needs or requests: they were going to do what they thought was right, cheap, and fast without thinking about my long-term goals. Another company wanted $37k (no joke), and while I'm sure they would have done a fine job, I couldn't afford two cars' worth (and half our family's full year's income) for a project whose number one priorities were removing dead plants and planting some trees; they also left a lot of the specifics vague. Sunset Gardens got back to me the day I called, came out that afternoon to look at the property, and got me a quote that evening, for less than $13k, with a lot of the specifics nailed down. (They actually gave me several options in terms of size of trees and width of walkways, with specific prices for every option, allowing me room to customize based on my budget and plans.) Most importantly, they listened to everything I had to say about what I wanted. They shared their knowledge and recommendations where I had no specifics in mind, but they didn't ignore my own ideas or desires. It felt like a collaborative process from the very beginning to the very end. Once they got into it, they recommended removing and replacing several shrubs that were not in great shape, and adding a drain line to get rain water away from where it was pooling near the house and over to the lower end of the yard. These were also not in the original quote, but they pushed this because it was what the yard needed, not for the additional work: for everything beyond the initial bid, they charged me only for the additional materials/plants, not for any of the (extensive) labor. In the end, we had to get a slightly smaller boxed tree than was initially quoted, which saved me $300. The additional materials and plants cost less than that, so the final price ended up lower than quote. The only issue I had on the project was the tree-trimming, which was pretty heavy-handed. They're not arborists or professional tree-trimmers, and they won't climb up high enough to surgically remove just the dead limbs; they topped my sycamores pretty severely (losing me some significant summer shade). If the sycamores are all filled in again by this time next year (two are already starting to), then I'll be very happy. If one of the trees dies, I'd have to drop my review to 4 stars, but everything else about the experience was so good that I couldn't go any further. This is a small family operation (a father and his two sons), but they work _hard_. Some days they went home early; some days they went home _really_ late. They always started promptly around 8am, and they always did a full day's work with significant noticeable progress. They didn't work weekends, but the total project start to finish took less than a month. They cobbled together the plants I wanted and their own recommendations from at least 6 separate nurseries, ranging from Azusa to Orange to closer to my home in Claremont. Their willingness to go out of their way to make sure we were all happy with the finished product was outstanding. We've gotten several comments from friends about how great the new front walkway is, and the back walkway is exactly what I needed for my everyday use; both were done in lovely sweeping curves. Both yards are already a huge improvement over what I had before, but I'm _really_ excited to see it in a year or two, once the trees are providing shade and the one-gallon shrubs and flowers have filled in. They're small now, but already beautiful and attracting butterflies. My wife and I are really happy. I made sure my mom got their contact information so they could get her a quote for her yards in her new house in Upland. She ended up going with them as well, and is hiring them as regular gardeners as well. They finished my project two days ago, just after signing contracts with her, and started work on her yard. My mom says you already wouldn't recognize her front yard.
