About
My focus is always on quality - not quantity. I think it is vital to work with my clients to get the most production value within their budget, and to create productions that stand out. You only get one opportunity to make a good first impression - I want to make sure that your project makes a positive and lasting impact on your viewers. One of the best parts of my job is collaborating with my clients. My clients know their business and I know the best way to tell stories. Together we create excellent productions that precisely target their audience.

Erik did an outstanding job on my video. I had a idea of what I wanted and he totally understood my vision and his editing made it come alive. I was inexperienced doing interviews with my video camera but with the help of his editing the finished product looked very professional. I plan to work with Media Alchemy again and highly recommend them.

Erik Holsinger produced a video for my company's California state funded contract (CalRecycle) that will be viewed nationally and internationally. Erik was thorough; truly understood what it took to produce the video while having to educate me during the process; proven outstanding work quality; and the vision to understand what would make the video successful. CalRecycle was also impressed by the quality of work. Erik also prepared the majority of the final scripts for content and over 50 percent of the voice overs. In the two days since the video was finalized, I have received such positive comments about not only the video but the voice overs by Erik Holsinger. I was impressed by his work enough to recommend him to other clients while we worked on the video.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Every year, there are new versions of video software and hardware, so part of my job is to continually stay up to date on new developments. I've been doing product evaluations for many years, and have even written reviews on many media production products for Film and Video, Millimeter, Studio Daily, and many other trade publications.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Instead of just looking at the Thumbtack bid responses, take the time to look at the video examples on a vendors Thumbtack sites, and then take the time to call the vendors you are interested in. Regardless of whether I get a job, I'm always happy to provide some perspective and information to new clients. A quick conversation is a great way to know if you are compatible with a particular vendor, and to also get more insight into what your project will cost and how long it will take to produce.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

One of the common client misconceptions is that audiences prefer videos that are hastily put together over a production that is planned out. Yes, you can create a video using your phone - but properly planning out a video can mean the difference between success or having your production ignored.
