Introduction: This is not my job. It's my passion! There is a big difference. I absolutely LOVE what I do. It is very satisfying when a child looks at themselves in the mirror and is amazed at what I've created for them. That's how I gage my success in this business.

I can't say enough good things about Shawna; her enthusiasm, professionalism and her amazing work. She did an amazing job on all 20 kids that attended my daughters birthday, everyone loved their faces. She was definitly the hit of the party and I will be using her again for future events.

Shawna was amazing at our church Christmas party for special children and their families. Everyone loved her. She painted arms & faces of 4 - 72 year olds. Beautiful, detailed work, the best I have ever seen. She was excellent with the children and put them right at ease. I will definitely use Shawna again. She was the hit of the party.

Great art skills, probably the best however her time management was poor, a lot of kids ended up left out, there was no time for them to get their faces painted. But when I spoke to her before hand she was very promising , so much so that she felt 3 hours would be too long, so we booked or two hours. I felt she was not personable as well

I'm sorry you felt this way. I'm not sure how you came to this conclusion. Every child was either painted or had a glitter tattoo. I made sure of it. Some kids even got a face painting and a glitter tattoo. As far as being personable, you never came to check on us at all and had me in a far back corner next to the side yard away from the party entirely so, I'm not sure how you can say I wasn't personable. I had great conversations with the kids the whole time and had lots of fun with them. Perhaps you not adhering to the service agreement you signed clearly stating the payment requirement was cash due upon arrival and keeping me waiting for payment for 45 minutes after my time was finished to find a credit card that wouldn't be declined was the problem. I was upset at that point because I had another client right after you that I was late for because of your lack of planning.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I've ALWAYS loved makeup from as far back as I can remember. My mother said I could only wear lip gloss when I turned 16 so, I blame becoming a Makeup Artist on her LOL! After 12 years of being a makeup artist and 3 kids later I began painting one Halloween when my kids asked me to paint them as part of their costume. That was it! I was hooked! I wanted to paint anyone and everyone and now I do.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I work with private clients as well as corporate clients including the LA Rams, Nickelodeon and Coachella. You can view more of my client list on my website at facenbodyart

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Always look for a face painter who only uses cosmetic grade face paint and glitter. Never trust someone who says they use "non toxic acrylic paint" that is paint that was not meant to be used on skin.
