- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I always enjoyed being in sports and developing different skills. I played basically every sport at one point in my life. I lifeguarded at a water park for years and ended up managing it. I realized there how much I loved working with people and helping them have fun. I started college as a nursing student and stayed in the program for a year and a half. It just wasn't for me and I felt God pulling me in a different direction. I wanted to be involved with fitness, wellness, and sports. So I entered the following year as an exercise science student and haven't looked back since. I had always help train friends and once I got my certification and degree, I was able to extend my training offerings and put my name out there every chance I get.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
A large portion of what I end up working with clients on is weight loss and toning. People need and want to be healthier. It's not about looking like a model or some body builder. It's getting that skinner body back, getting rid of the flab, seeing that muscle definition, feeling good about yourself (physically and mentally), and finally feeling confident about who you are.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
This has been an ongoing job but one of my favorite clients is recently up to 27 pounds lost and over 50 inches gone from all over her body.
