As a very amture baker wanting to learn more my family gave me what was to be bread baking classes. The night before the first class I was telling my wife ..."I have been baking bread for 20 years I hope I learn something!" What a bad statement that was as after 10 minutes with Karla I quickly realized I really new very little. What can I say Karla is the best! We had what was to be baking classes that turned into reductions (made the best bruschetta and brandy peppercorn sauce on the planet), soufflé's, Swiss meringue and of course bread backing, sourdough, ciabatta,, French......etc.etc. and of course lots and lots of laughs; more every time we got together. Anyone wanting to learn or improve their current skill level Karla is the one.
Thanks Karla we are going to do it again!

I had the pleasure of serving under Chef Karlas leadership at a top notch cooking program in Orange County. Although I was taking another well known cooking program in tandem with her program, I learned much more. I really surprised myself. She is so learned, however so patient and guides through the complete process. Ask her a cooking question you have always wondered about, she will have the answer. Thank you Chef Karla for everything !

I took 3 cooking classes with chef Karla in 2014 and they were all outanding. The 5 weeks Professional Pastry course were fantastic and very comprehensive. I have greatly improved my baking skills and have achieved consistent results from Chef Karla's good tips and correct techniques.
The Appetizers and Truffles classes were also very good. Chef Karla is a very talented culinary and pastry chef. More importantly, she insures that all students have the hand-on experience and have fun while creating beautiful dishes.
