Introduction: I have a 45 year history with swimming and started competitive swimming at age five. I was in AAU ( now USA Swimming) through High School years. I have held records at every club including longest standing records at the US Naval Academy Jr. Swim Club. I was Captain of my HS swim team and District Champion is 100 butterfly and participated in the State of Florida meet in four events. I recently finished in top 5% of all swimmers in the open water race from Alcatraz to San Francisco. I am a Red Cross certified WSI - Water Safety Instructor and currently a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. I specialize in search & rescue and I was a District PA Officer, Division Commander, and Boat Coxswain. I have also served as a Cub Master in BSA and was a graduate teaching assistant at UCLA. Transferring the heritage and best techniques from the sport of swimming and seeing my clients gain supreme confidence and command of the water Seeing the benefits of this confidence in other areas of their lives. I love being in the water and my natural comfort is authentic and helps my students see what is possible with practice. My son says I swim like an Orca!

Private Swim Lessons

Gigi is the best swim instructor we have ever had! Look no further, she is the person you should hire! She is an expert in her field, and probably because unlike most swim instructors out there she is a professional swimmer herself. Gigi is patient, encouraging and engaging. She will teach you how to swim and she will make it fun for you to learn. She will teach you not only how to swim, but how to to have a proper swimming technique and how to feel comfortable in the water and be able to think for yourself in the water. Her method is very efficient- SHE WILL NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY- SHE WILL TEACH YOU HOW TO SWIM !! I can wholeheartedly recommend her.

Private Swim Lessons

We feel so lucky we found Coach Gigi! We can’t thank her enough!! She did three lessons while we were in town with my almost 4 year old. My son is ALL ABOUT swimming now and telling everyone what Coach Gigi taught him!! The first lesson he wanted nothing to do with the water. And by the end of the 3rd lesson he was ready to go on any “mission” coach Gigi asked him to!! We know who we are calling next time we’re in town for any refresher lessons we need!! Thank you Gigi!! Our family really appreciates everything you did these last two weeks!!

Private Swim Lessons

We hired Coach Gigi for our 3 year old and 7 year old daughters. I really liked her approach to teaching, focusing on technique, explaining it at the girls’ level, making their learning experience easy and fun. The girls both improved tremendously. We are very happy with their progress and highly recommend Coach Gigi.
