Kenshaka knows what he is talking about and he will notice your strengths and help you grow them. He recognizes individuality and will tailor his lessons to you, not just go by a curriculum. He is an acting coach and a life coach for me!Sep 1, 2020VerifiedKenshaka Ali's reply
Hi Nicole and thank you so much for the great review!

Mr. Ali is a phenomenal acting teacher. He is very timely, kind, and professional. He also really cares about his craft and genuinely wants the best for his students. Even though I have only had a few lessons, I’ve already gained a lot of knowledge and insight in regards to how I can reach my full potential as an actress. I really enjoy his classes, and I can’t wait to learn even more from him :)Aug 30, 2020VerifiedKenshaka Ali's reply

Kenshaka is an AMAZING teacher who has already exceeded my expectations in an acting teacher in as little as one lesson. I have taken many acting classes and I can tell you that Kenshaka knows what he is talking about and knows how to get you to the truth of the material at hand. I have studied four years of acting at college but I have never had a teacher that immediately made things click as fast as Kenshaka did. Thank you Kenshaka and I can not wait for our next lesson !May 15, 2020Verified

I can feel myself improving as an actor everyday when working with Kenshaka. You can tell he is passionate as an acting instructor. He'll really push you into building your craft and at the same time is so positive and eager to help you improve and help you stay alert of everything that comes with evolving and becoming a specific character. I certainly recommend him for anyone, especially those who are passionate about method acting, as well as those who are new to acting and want to understand how to start developing that as a skill. Some of it may feel over your head at first as it will naturally will be, but within just a few lessons for me personally, I could already feel and sense the adjustments I had to make while I was practicing, both during class and when practicing by myself, and Kenshaka will certainly guide you to become the skilled actor that you strive to become.Apr 27, 2020Verified

Wow! Where to begin? Working with Kenshaka has been a complete gift to me on so many levels. I was looking for an acting coach with whom I could really connect with and truly grow with, and that is exactly what I found in Kenshaka. I have taken acting classes before but had never gotten much out of them. But from day one, working with Kenshaka was different. His approach is very personal, and he was able to connect with me on a much deeper level. My acting assignments were like none I had ever before encountered. It reduced my anxiety and fears about pursuing acting and gave me a far different appreciation for the craft of acting - and that’s because of Kenshaka’s approach and all he brings to each class. He is serious, delightful, knowledgeable, and gifted with teaching others. I have gained so much knowledge in the short time I’ve been working with him that it honestly makes me question the approach of all the other acting classes I’ve tried in the past. He brings a deeper understanding to approaching a character, a scene. It’s through his help of looking inward that I actually began to enjoy the process of acting instead of fearing it. I honestly can’t recommend working with Kenshaka enough. If you want someone in your corner who will help you evolve as an actor, please...don’t hesitate in hiring him. It’s the best decision I’ve made for myself in a long time - for my acting, for my personal growth. Invest in yourself. You won’t regret it. Believe me!Jan 8, 2021VerifiedKenshaka Ali's reply

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I try to work within the budget of students. I offer discount packages for 5 and 10 lesson series.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? My work is prescriptive, in that I do a series of readings, improvisations and theater games to assess a student's level, and then, along with their intention, coach through acting exercises, scene work, and loving, thorough and constructive criticism to develop greater skills and capabilities to maximum affect.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?In addition to over 25 years as a professional SAG-AFTRA and Actor's Equity Association actor and director, I have taught at over 15 universities, colleges, and conservatories across the United States. I hold MFA, MA, and BA degrees in theater, and a license as an Agape Licensed Spiritual Practitioner, ALSP. This is especially useful as the demands of the industry become increasingly difficult to navigate. If requested, I can serve as both coach and counselor at once.
