It was my first time working with an acting coach and it was amazing! I can’t wait for my next lesson! You will not be disappointed! All the reviews are true, so STOP looking elsewhere and request for his expert service! Best decision you’ll make!Jan 30, 2019Verified
He's my dream come true taking acting lessons with him.Apr 7, 2019Verified
I really enjoyed my lessons with kenshaka. Even though I’m not the fastest to open up, he tried a lot of different exercises with me and I’ve seen a lot of improvements. I’m really starting to enjoy acting and surrendering to the process.May 10, 2019Verified
Kenshaka gave me acting lessons via video chat which is already a difficult task, but he was a great guide and mentor regardless of those obstacles. He is also very flexible and willing to be available for help outside of the scheduled lesson times. Excellent teacher and I would recommend him to others!Jul 4, 2017Verified
After looking at other quotes, I realized that Kenshaka was far more experienced then most on Thumbtack. I also noticed that he is a seasoned teacher and not an struggling artist trying to survive. After speaking with him, his love for the art and for the craft of teaching acting made choosing him a no-brainer. I learned more in a mini lesson than I have sitting through semesters of acting classes in college. I'll leave it to say that perhaps Kenshaka is that rare being one comes across in life, a true master.Oct 11, 2017Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I try to work within the budget of students. I offer discount packages for 5 and 10 lesson series.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? My work is prescriptive, in that I do a series of readings, improvisations and theater games to assess a student's level, and then, along with their intention, coach through acting exercises, scene work, and loving, thorough and constructive criticism to develop greater skills and capabilities to maximum affect.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?In addition to over 25 years as a professional SAG-AFTRA and Actor's Equity Association actor and director, I have taught at over 15 universities, colleges, and conservatories across the United States. I hold MFA, MA, and BA degrees in theater, and a license as an Agape Licensed Spiritual Practitioner, ALSP. This is especially useful as the demands of the industry become increasingly difficult to navigate. If requested, I can serve as both coach and counselor at once.
