About

Hi there! I am a classically trained, SAG/AEA actor and acting and public speaking coach. I received my MFA in Acting from UCSD, at the La Jolla Playhouse. This highly respected and selective program takes only 8 acting students each year. At UCSD, I received the San Diego Fellowship. I have worked professionally in theater, commercials, and film since 2016. As an actor, I made my Off-Broadway debut in the 2022 Drama Desk Award winning production of "Seven Deadly Sins," working alongside Tony, Emmy, and Drama Desk award nominated director Moises Kaufman, in one of the first in-person productions in NY after the COVID-19 lock downs. I recently worked with Tony Award winning director, Chris Ashley, and Will Davis in As You Like It at the La Jolla Playhouse. I continue to work across regional theater, voice over, and film. Most recently, I appeared in Amazon's Selah and the Spades, working opposite Jesse Williams. As a teacher, I spent 3 years teaching undergraduates at UCSD, in both acting and public speaking. I LOVE coaching students one on one, and have continued to meet with a huge range of clients in private coaching. I have worked with high schoolers on BFA auditions, college students on voice over and auditions, all the way up to professionals on public speaking, poetry reading, and professional communication! I am 100% invested in my students success. I believe in leading with kindness, joy, and openness. All lessons are completely tailored to what you want. Do you need help with auditions? My experience so far has been really good. Cody made me feel extremely comfortable with asking questions and reading through scenes especially for a person who has bad anxiety. I’ll say if you want a acting coach to help you Cody will be there for you along the way :)

Beyond thankful and happy we found Cody, he is an amazing coach! His technique, compassion, his skill in bringing the best out of you and his professionalism is truly one of a kind. Just after my son's first lesson, he already felt more confident and learned so much. After only a couple more lessons it was time for my son's musical theater performance and he received so many compliments and was told it was was his best performance. Nothing but good things to say about Cody! We explained what specific areas our son was looking to improve in, and he couldn’t have been more patient, kind and thorough. I messaged before group lesson, just to let him know a little bit about my children. They are all straight-A students, a bit shy, completely different personalities, musical geniuses. I didn't tell him, they do not talk!! lol! My goodness, when he started the group lesson, he was so caring, told them about himself, asked questions that sparked something in them! I hadn't seen them that excited in years! I had to turn my zoom camera & mic off because I began to cry. They are so excited to learn more and more. I just want to say, "Thank you"
