Hi, I'm Eddie Ramos! 👋 I am a professional actor with over 25 years of experience in T.V., Film, and Theatre. I am the CEO and Founder of The Modern Actor, and our mission is to help actors establish their acting careers, define their type and brand, and start auditioning. I'm originally from Queens, New York. I started acting at 9 years old in New York City in an Off-Broadway play called Rags and have been pursuing acting ever since. In 2013, I graduated with my BFA in Acting from Syracuse University. Only a few weeks after graduation, I headed to Los Angeles. Within the first two years of living in LA, I went from doing background work to booking a Series-Regular role on a show produced by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. More recently, I booked a National AT&T Commercial for March Madness, I had my movie Bunker premiere in theaters nationwide, and was a lead in Eraser: Reborn which is now streaming on HBO Max. I don't think a review could capture just how impressed I am with the service Eddie provides. And I'm not kidding. Last month, I was on the hunt for someone who can provide me acting lessons, and was on the fence about who to go with - I honestly didn't even know how to go about making a selection. I was between a couple different coaches. After reading the many awesome reviews on Eddie's page, I decided to give him a shot. Not long after, we scheduled a call... After speaking with Eddie over the phone, I instantly became excited for this new journey and later understood why. This guy is EVERYTHING!! He's the real deal. 👏🏼 Answered every question. Addressed every concern. (And had a super cool personality, might I add!) And what I appreciate is that he doesn't have a condescending tone, as some others in the industry have. He is more interested in educating you and empowering you to be the best actor - and human - you can possibly be. The patience this man has is almost biblical, too. (And I'm a person who comes STRAPPED with questions!) It's as if he was answering questions before I could even ask him, which was pleasantly welcomed. Even his response rate, with his schedule, is insane. He emails, texts.. he's on top of things. It's like having my support system in my back pocket, which is reassuring at best. He carves out time and is genuinely interested in what's going on with his students, too - not just the business side of it. Sometimes, I forget he's my coach and we talk like old friends. ---- We need more coaches, friends, people like you, Eddie. I appreciate everything you do. ---- If you're reading this review and still on the fence about who to go with, give Eddie a call... Think about it: there's a reason he has the awesome reviews he has, right? Like I said, I can't capture them all - I'm just glad to be one in the number. :)

I just finished my first-ever acting class with Eddie, and it was a fantastic experience. As a beginner, I was a little nervous, but Eddie has a way of making you feel completely comfortable from the start. He’s incredibly skilled at breaking down techniques in a way that is easy to understand and apply. I left the session feeling inspired and already looking forward to signing up for more classes.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For new students, we'll get on a free consultation call to introduce ourselves and get an understanding of your experience level as an actor and talk about your goals for the class. From there we can schedule our next session together!
